I used the 11-12 from American Muscle... I really love the sound... I've had more compliments on these than any exhaust I've owned and that's been a bunch ;)

I did some Borla ATAKs from a 13 V6. Doesn't sound too bad. Not as aggressive as I thought they would be. I just ordered an H pipe and I'll see if that livens things up.

I don't think it really waters what year it is. The muffler shop cut the entire piping off the back of the muffler and welded a new piece to fit. They charged me $150 for the whole thing.

Looking on eBay and I see a good amount of used GT500 mufflers.

Just wondering, will the 07-09 Gt500 OEM mufflers sound and fit the same?

07-09 GT500 mufflers are the same as 05-09 Automatic GT 2.5" mufflers. Do not buy these and expect the same sound as these guys!

You want 11-12 GT500 mufflers, they are 2.75" and have a great sound.

Tips?

Anyone know if there's a difference between the 07-09 and the 11-12 gt500 mufflers?

It appears the tips are longer on the 07-09 mufflers. This is just based on pictures I have seen and is not on actual measurements. Can anyone take measurements of the tips on both models?

I really miss the sound of my GT500's....ran them on both my 12' GT and 13' Boss with resonator deletes and my opinion of the perfect sound.

My MF Comp has depth at idle, but up top no where near the sound of the 500's w/resonator delete.

Finally got mine installed. Here's a cold start idle vid, kinda a pain to get any revs or street driving in because all I have is my iPhone and I live in the middle of a city, so I don't want to bother the neighbors..

Has anyone replaced just the mufflers and left the factory resonator in? Would like to see a video if someone has one.
