Few days early but here is my 4 month review.
4 months!!!
4500 miles
And err, nearly a set of rear tyres.

So what to say?

Well I thought I would tell you a bit about my day and how the car made it better.

So I got in to work bright and early this morning and a wee bit stressed to say the least. I have various problem across different projects I am responsible for and I started the day writing a 'to do' list of priorities.

Before long I had my day planned out but then then my phone rang at about 9.15. It was a client, quite an important one. Conversation went something like this.

Me "Hi there, how are you"
Client "Yeh good thanks, just checking everything is okay for out meeting at Burgess Hill"
Me "Err, meeting, what meeting is that"?
Client "The meeting we arranged a few weeks back to discuss the installation with the tenants"

I checked my emails and yep, I had arranged the meeting with him. I had a jouney of around 1.5 hours to do in about 1.5 hours. Oh yeh, and a load of paperwork to print out.

Office Manager not at her desk, so I had to do the printing, get the address and post code and get gone.

Stress levels were now at there peak. I was getting in a bit of a panick!

So a grabbed all my stuff together, jumped in the car, hit the start button and........smiled, relaxed even. As I drove out of the car park I felt the stress lifting. I was just about to go for a blast across country, Me and my car.

I didnt even care that the satnav didn't reconize the address. Eventually I just settled for 'middle of a nearby street' and away I went.

The roads were dry and the sun was shining. I donned the shades, settled down in my seat, turned the radio off and off we went.

I was at one with my beast. Every twist and turn we enjoyed together, Every opportunity to overtake, we took it, both secure in the knowledge that we knew and understood each other, that we trusted each other.

Yes, she twitch her tail around the odd roundabout and yes, maybe I hit the brakes a bit sooner than I needed to as we approached some corners. We are both flawed, neither of us are perfect but we dont care.

I got to my meeting with two minutes to spare. Unflustered, relaxed and happy.

You see, thats what this car does for me. Every journey if a joy and an event. I did a fair bit if mileage over the weekend just gone. The whole weekend was about the car. Meeting friends to discuss a Mustang meet one day and then attending a Mustang meet on the next. Then I sat at home on Saturday evening and despite the fact that I had spent about 8 hours driving the Beast over the last two day, I wanted to take the car for a drive. I have not driven for the sake of driving for about 20 years.

Now we are getting dry warm days I am enjoying this car more and more. Quite honestly this car is F'kin awesome. In the dry you really car give it some stick. Sticking the front end into a corner and then squeezing the happy peddle coming out is a complete and utter joy.

But owning this car is more than just the car. I am making new friends, something else I haven't done for about 20 years. Owning a Mustang is like a new way of life

Okay, so this was not much of a review but thats the point really. There is not much more to say about the car since my last review other than its just as good, just as enjoyable. I STILL have not just got in this car and done a journey. Every time I drive it, I am aware of it, it makes me feel good every single time.

I will be putting new tyres on soon, along with springs and axle back exhaust. So the next review will be about them.
Great read!! Funny you should mention meeting new people, this is the sad bit about me, I don't have a huge friends list and i'm not one for just going to the local and trying to make conversation and new friends, Newlands was my first car meet, never been to one before, for me I almost blew out so I had to really push myself to go, and yes i'm glad I did, the weekend just gone I went to the Berkshire meet, only this time I felt I didn't need the push so much, ok it's a bonus for me as it's 3 minutes up the road, then when I got there I noticed a few faces I met at Newlands, Jury (can't remember your name sorry) even said "here's Twiggy" as I walked towards them, that made me smile, someone remembered me and for once I didn't feel just a shadow in the background, funny thing is I almost cancelled my order many many times, my parents kept saying don't as it'll get you out and meet new people, they were right and the funny thing is I haven't even got the car yet. Anyway, sorry for gate crashing your storey mate.

Steve that was a brilliant review it just encapsulated what is so brilliant about the Mustang. I am a car dealer and have driven a lot of cars the idea of taking a car out for the joy of driving would not occur to me. Until now, Sunday got up sun shining got the GT out and up into the Derbyshire hills Bakewell, Buxton Chatsworth etc. The noise the drama the sense of occasion these cars are something else.

Thats a bit like me really. Makes it worse that I have a big close-knit family that all live local and I also work with. So, the need for friends is limited.

Meeting new people and making friends was really a welcome side effect of Mustang ownnership.

Only thing that furrowed my brow was the wheel colour. Would be concerned that there is too much orange.

Wasn't sure about the lamps which may well be heresy bearing in mind it's a Mustang.

Louvred window I really like.

Lovin' and completely relate to the "Got to do something for the NC500".

Going TBH here Steve but remember at the end of the day it's your car

1) Orange wheels - too much orange and because you have the black painted parts now, the black wheels really sit nicely. You could always get a new set of black wheels and have a colour matched orange centre cap or something.
2) rear window louvre - think this will look good if painted like the rest of your black parts :). Trouble is I think you may end up loosing the rear window spoiler because of how this most likely fixes in the same spot.
3) Rear wing - unless this car is a proper track weapon I really don't think big wings are needed on this style of car mate.
4) spotlights - go with a style of front bumper that will accept these mate as I don't think the look of ours will. Plus the style you are looking to go for as in track look, the spot lights will look a little strange.
5) wheel arch - on the fence with these TBH. Maybe body coloured....
6) bonnet bulge - now this could look very nice as you will be replacing your black stripe with a higher black stripe effectively so you already know in a way what the black in the middle would look like.

Ah man, I have just seen these.
Can be tailor made for the car!

Other than the wheels most look nice. I only fear that certain items such as the scoop, will go over your stripe...

As for the interior, maybe more subtle orange changes, for example get the CO colour matched and have the aluminium trim wrapped in CO. Then opt for small changes like Ian whu did like his orange colour pipes and orange start button and gear knob.

Too much orange maybe over bearing.

Fyi, reiterate again, them wheels (in orange at least) ain't nice. At least they live up the the brand name "junk".

Also with the spoiler would you not have to remove the spoiler you already have?

End of the day it's your car and your choices do as you wish..

Do you have an exhaust yet? If not maybe the cheap route is some black exhaust tips?

I will just cut out the spoiler thats on there to allow for the legs of the new one (it will be orange by the way).

Blimey, this coming from someone who was gonna wrap his car in some strange colour no doubt!

I dont like my car being called junk, would never say that about someone elses.

Thinking of doing away with the stripes anyway and put ghost flames on the front. I have a mate who is learning air brushing and will do mine for free.

Something like this

Should do the flames all down the side of the doors too. That would look awesome.

Perhaps a few flames on the wheels too?? Can't have too many flames that's for sure.

Best looking car on the forum this will be!!!
You taking the mick?
