Pfft, I ain't got either yet, either. When I reach in my deep pockets, all I find is my hand.I certainly know the difference. I love all types of cars and all types of racing. Love the GT350 for what it is and I also love modifying cars as a hobby. I wish I could own both but unfortunately, I have to save for a while to own one of the 2. If I had your deep pockets, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of each. (turbo car, blown car, Gt350, & Ford GT)

Best post in this thread.I hate comparison threads like this.
Its so easy to make more power on these cars. all you have to do is add another degree of timing, and your going to make more power.
These cars will make power up to about 25 degrees of timing or so.
The only way to do an accurate comparison, is same tune, same dyno, back to back, with datalogging.
If one tune has 16 degrees and one has 18, the 18 is going to make more, it's not rocket science here guys.
In general, lund wants to give you a safe conservative tune. Take our 2015 for example, we were pushing probably 6-9 degrees more timing than the average customer is going to get. But we know were playing with fire.
Especially if you've been through the datalogging process. It's as simple as saying "i want more, i understand the risks" etc....
look at kelly's first engine ken tuned it made killer power, right up til the engine blew and it came apart.
look at our car, it made killer power on lunds tune until the design of the block was exceeded and we pushed through the water jackets and then we went to a sleeved block.
sbd, sheldon, etc.... you want to play, play, you just have to be prepared for what comes next.
I would agree with that if that vendor didn't have a bias opinion "sells Lund's tuning services".Best post in this thread.
I find this post spot on. Luckily I make somewhat decent money from hard work. Rebuilding engines is not cheap.I hate comparison threads like this.

Remember we had this chat a while back? Pushing an engine on boost is not a question of if it will blow the question is when. Wanting every pony can be deadly to any engine. Now if you are a millionaire you are thinking who gives a damn if it blows. But if you are not a millionaire with wife and kids my advice is back it off a bit and enjoy your car. Improve traction that is where you will have fun. Are you not making over 700 HP? :headband: When is enough enough???I would agree with that if that vendor didn't have a bias opinion "sells Lund's tuning services".
A dyno of Lund's tune vs Whipple's tune, on the same dyno, same car and same day will probably never happen. Logs can be compared and from what I have seen based on the logs, Whipple's tune should make more power.
With that said, I might be the only one who has dynoed both Lund's tune vs Ken's tune with my car, on the same day and same dyno. The only thing that I changed was the tune. I recorded data logs for each dyno pull. I'm confident that if a comparison of Whipple's vs Lund's was made then the results would be similar to mine. However, the only way to do a fair comparison on a dyno is on the same day.
Let's see...I find this post spot on. Luckily I make somewhat decent money from hard work. Rebuilding engines is not cheap.

Interesting. What was Air Fuel Ratio with the new tune? And what do you consider to lean?Let's see...
Only made 673rwhp with Lund's tune and gave him about $1100 in total. Asked multiple times to lean it out a little or run more timing. 11.2 A/F is pretty rich and only 16.8 degrees of timing, this isn't my grandma's car. Switched tunes, and with just a tune, 714rwhp and looking at my logs now, it is still safe. With the mods that I have and the amount of money that I have spent, 673rwhp is a damn joke.
What's the timing and A/F on Ken's tune?Let's see...

My earlier post quoting Beefcake was about being safe. I am not a fanboy of any vendor here. Just want to be neutral. You can tune safe all the time. You can tune to much just one time. Longevity for me is more important than sucking every pony out of a tune.Ill throw my .02 out there. And this isn't a bash on Lund, So - Don't take it as that.
I made 615/504.4 on 91 pump gas, Logs showed 11.2 psi. Lund tuned.. I could go into detail on what we saw on the logs, But I won't.. Because I don't have them any longer, unfortunately. But - In a nut shell, The car pinged, and the throttle body behaved awkwardly (Never stayed WOT throughout an entire pull.. Dipped down to 88% and back to 100%)
I didn't go with whipples tuning, Because I wanted a more aggressive tune, with more HP (Which one may expect)
This car done by Whipple, made 667 on 91 octane, on their Dyno, with their tuning (Obviously)
Yes, Different Car, Different Dyno, Different Day.. I get it. But - I honestly feel Lund is being a bit to conservative.. Yes, I get it - I wouldn't want a bunch of angry customers with blown up motors either.. But - With the amount of money spent to be tuned by Lund, The results don't add up.. Purchasing the equipment needed to run Whipples tune would of been about the same price,(nGauge, FI tune, Boost+addition) and I probably would of felt much more satisfied..
667 on 91 is amazing! I am thankful that I am not subjected to 91 lol.Ill throw my .02 out there. And this isn't a bash on Lund, So - Don't take it as that.

All of the good tuners will give you a safe tune. My tune from Ken is safe. I have beat the hell out of my car since having Ken tune it. I have recorded around 28 logs with Ken's tune and never once have anything been off. I'm more than happy with Ken's tune. I have had tunes in the past from some of the best in their fields; Doug Wilkins with Subarus and John at Jestr Tuning for EVOs. I even drove from Tampa, FL to Alpharetta, GA to have Doug tune my STI. I would do the same just to have Ken tune my Mustang. However, thankfully Ken does remote tunes lol.My earlier post quoting Beefcake was about being safe. I am not a fanboy of any vendor here. Just want to be neutral. You can tune safe all the time. I have done much reading here and Ken seems to be making a name for himself very quickly. I see so so many guys raving of Lund. I am on a off the shelf SUPER RICH tune. I have not checked AFRs yet but my mileage is crap. Most off the shelf tunes are like that. Been running E85 for many years. But I think with this car I will stay with 93 Octane pump gas. We make enough TQ/HP we can handle for a street car. Why shoot for the stars with power when we cannot hook up. ;)All of the good tuners will give you a safe tune. My tune from Ken is safe. I like to have my A/F at around 11.5:1
The big difference with Ken, is he's a results oriented tuner that you partner with. He doesn't just pump out tunes that yield dyno #'s, he studies your datalogs to discover where he is leaving power on the table, makes changes, fires it right back over to you. There's a reason why my car cuts 1.4's on 20's, and it aint cause of me, haha. His product is a sure thing, as long as you are willing to meet him halfway and keep sending him feedback/datalogs he'll keep refining your cars results.I have done much reading here and Ken seems to be making a name for himself very quickly.
