I am not a fan and the staggered fitment wheels .

Do the all stock 18 / 19 / 20 wheel all clear the PP brakes ?

I could probably find someone who'd want to trade ;)

What kind of tire life are you getting out of the OEMs on the PP ? (I know highly variable based on driving style . )

OEM pirellis die pretty quick on the rear, under 10k miles. Definately look elsewhere when you get them replaced, lot better tires that will grip better and last longer

This would depend on how the car is driven. I just had my 18x8 OEM wheels/Pirelli tires rotated yesterday for the first time at 10,900 miles and there is a good amount of tread left on them. In fact, 11/64" according to my digital caliper. That's exactly half the original depth of 11/32" and leaves me with 7/64" of tread remaining before the recommended depth to change your tires.

FWIW, I don't race or do burnouts either so I'm sure that has a lot to do with their longevity so far. Are the Neros a 40,000 mile tire? Of course not, but I'll be happy if I can get 16 or 18k total out of them.

Interesting. Are there some discrepancies in manufacturing or poor quality control going on at Pirelli? Across a specific line of tires, there shouldn't be such wide-ranging mileage before the end of tread life. Some deviation is expected, like one person getting 16k miles and other getting 18k, but some tires going bald at 10k with others lasting almost twice as long doesn't sound right to me.

I think a lot of the Pirelli bashing comes from inexperience with summer tires. They wear faster and don't grip in the cold. This is normal and not indicative of a bad tire. I usually get around 10K miles out of my 180-rated Potenzas so I expect around the same from 200-rated pirellis.

I'm going to a square setup so I can run 275's and rotate. I like have a fresh set of tires every spring.

Scroll down just slightly to the Wheels Available section and the info is right there. All the wheel options will be square setups with the exception of the Performance Package, which has 19x9 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back and the GT350/R which has even wider 19's in the front and back.

I have the all-season P-Zero Nero tires, which Pirelli says has a 400 treadwear rating. Of course, there is no industry standard for this number and manufacturers are allowed to claim pretty much whatever they want.

you can only compare treadwear ratings from within the same manufacturer

Correct , but I know the 17s won't fit the PP brakes , some ? (all?) the 18s are too small ?

I am guessing all the 19s and 20s fit .

I have the OEM 18x8 wheels and the standard 4-piston brakes. I know for a fact that those wheels will not fit the 6-piston Brembo setup. However, there's several 19" aftermarket wheels that won't fit them either, so it depends.

I've heard of few 18's that fit and some 19's do not. Not sure about OEMs and I wouldn't trust a dealer to know either.

True but in my experience the max performance summer category tires are pretty comparable, at least among the ones I have run (goodyear, michelin. bridgstone) Now I get to try out the pirellis.
