After losing my beloved gen5 Camaro 2LT in a very unfortunate accident I have decided to join the dark side and get a Mustang. All kidding aside I love all cars from all manufacturers. I pulled the trigger on a 15 GT Prem. with 50th yr Ap. package and after a long wait (dealership was 650 miles away) the car is finally here. All I can say is I am in love and not sure if it is the color but this thing is a neck breaker...

I spent the last 2 days reading about different exhaust systems here and would appreciate some advice on what would be a good catback setup to get a good deep (not raspy) tone. I am considering the Borla S type or Corsa Sport systems. MBRP street looks like it would be budget friendly but I would not want to risk any drone. Also which forum sponsor has the best prices? I had great experiences with our sponsors on Camaro5.com and would like to have a similar experience here if possible.

Looks great, don't forget to check out solo exhausts as well.

Keep the stock mufflers and add long tube headers . Nice sound and nice power curve for the same cost
I would not want to risk voiding my warranty until it expires so I was planning on warranty friendly mods for now.

Unless Ford established that the aftermarket headers were the direct cause of the problem, they won't be a warranty risk.

Example: The turn signals stop functioning correctly and you take the car to a dealership to have them fixed. Since your headers have nothing to do with the turn signals, the repairs will be covered by the warranty.

Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Here's a good start: Link

I had the same dilemma on exhaust. I went with the solo performance Mach XV and couldn't be happier. It sounds absolutely incredible with no drone and it's priced very well. I think it's the best bang for the buck exhaust on the market

If the headers didn't require a tune I might agree with you, as I was a proud supporter of that act as well. However Ford is the least tune friendly manufacturer I've seen. It would cost you a lot of time and money to prove your case even if you could. There are a few threads on here on how ford reacts to customers with a tune. Any major engine malfunction and you're screwed.

I don't trust ford that much with my money to tune the car yet.

Beautiful car. I think the Roush quad tip axle backs sound the best. Lots of burble with very little rasp. This will require you to modify the rear bumper but I'm cutting up our 50YLE to put these on as soon as I save the $.

Roush also offers the programmable selectable exhaust so you can customize how your exhaust sounds.

Ruby's a great color, congrats! I'm loving my Corsa Sport CB. I can drive it quietly when I want or I can unleash the beast.
