The New 2017 ZL1 Camaro

I skimmed through article, yes we know this chassis is lighter, but adding a blower and intercooler with fluids for both and supporting components, this thing will probably be on 20s too. I think this ZL1 will weight what a base gt500 weighs, around 3850lbs.
Maybe they are under rating the power, but seeing this setup is from the c7z I doubt it. Ford now has their work cut out, we know they are going for hellcat numbers. Just not 4500lb numbers!

If the Estimated 0-60 (3.3 - 3.5) is true to what MotorTrend is saying, then It will more than likely be on par with the 2013-2014 GT500 in the 1/4. HP Numbers are similar as well. But will it beat it?

I'm thinking the 10 speed will help push it over the edge. It's a good time to be a car guy either way.

I like it! A step up interior wise...exterior isn't bad either. Will be interesting to see how quick it is on the track! I bet faster than any in segment . Still would never buy one. So... GT 500...where are you!

It's a good thing the zl1 was released first. This means Ford will have to release the gt500 soon and it will have to 1up the zl1

I like the 1LE better, but there's no debating whether or not the ZL1 is going to tear up the track.



Listen to the engine on corner exit, he's flooring it on the way out. Those new Goodyears really look like they're putting down the power. Those will be the same tire model and sizes on the 1LE. That thing should REALLY hook up with 185hp less!

If its anything like the last one, it will be missing 40+ HP and need enough VHT to glue a car to a wall so it can run 11's.

Glad they're making it as competition is always good for the consumer, but the design of the car both int/ext is simply not pleasing to my eye.

Molar really needs to get into this race with a SRT 'Cuda.
