For those interested, Flood Ford called today. I was told that Ford would only warranty the car for a max of 7 years and in my case 36,000 miles. Knocked the price to $575. One hell of a deal IMO. So yes my extended warranty is now official and I have the required documents.

So I assume you got the Premium Care ESP. What does that get you over the basic 3/36,000 warranty included with the car purchase?

Yes to clarify, Premium care. For other details see the link Krt22 posted. They also offer premium maintenance plans.

My dealer called me to finalize the numbers and offered me PremiumCare:

$2780 -> 6 years / 75K miles
$3700 -> 7 years / 125K miles
$1960 -> 6 years / 48K miles

I took the 6/75 plan. From what he told me, it is a warranty, not maintenance.

I'm still confused. Do these plans extend the factory warranty or do they run concurrently?

They extend it. (I stand corrected, concurrent)

I would call back and make sure that includes the maintenance as well. THose prices are about 2-3X what they are online for just the warranty alone

Here is what I ended up paying for my extended warranty. It looks like I overpaid maybe looking at everyone else. Although my milage is a bit higher.

7yr / 60,000 Ext Warranty.

I did not do the maintance offer as it just did not add up for me for oil changes etc.

The brochure that came with it and what it covers.

You can cancel it within 30 days. Might make sense to cancel and rebuy online
