with android tablets down to $100 for something that size no reason this shouldnt come in at $300-$400.

Well seeing as how raxiom went through Rosen with the 10-14 and 05-09 radios it's probably safe to assume they'll do it with the 15/16 radios.

with the look at that article, and the help of Google. It may release by the end of the month since the 31st is the end of the first quarter

You are right about the costs of android tablets being low. But, you have to remember this kit will contain a full bezel, wiring, harnesses and most probably will have some custom OS. The R&D costs will easily push this unit past the $600 mark.

However, for them to sell units they should be priced to a maximum of $800.
Ideally, the lower the better but there is absolutely no way it will come in at $300-$400. Look at their history and existing units. They are all in the $500-$1500 range.

Will the stereo be upgraded from the base V6:shrug:
Just the headunit. Speakers and stuff are on you.
There may be a very small difference from the new headunit but I guess we'll see. Whatever it will be wont matter anyway though. You should UP your speakers and get an amp for max output!

It'll have your RCA outputs for your amp hopefully.

I am going to guess its going to be between $500-$800.

If its any more than that they will have difficulty selling cause people could do an MFT swap for under $400 anyway.
Since when can a MFT swap be done for under $400? Who has done it?

Nope. The head unit is called the audio control module (ACM) and will remain untouched. It is a large silver box that looks like a double din unit with a cd slot and no face directly behind the hvac controls. You will still have the (terrible compared to even most rental cars, IMO) stereo Ford gave you.

I have to ask. Has anyone reset their KAM. I HAD these problems with sync, the freezing, the clock being minutes behind, and such and after resetting the KAM all of them are gone. Siri Eyes Free works great. Never freezes on me, stays in the input I was before. Connects to my Bluetooth as soon as the car is started.

So the stereo head unit is called the audio control module (ACM) and is separate
Then my question is - how do you upgrade the base stereo and is anyone have an upgrade available?

That's the big issue. No one has brought forward a true audio improvement. The TomTop only addresses the small display and lack of Nav. The Raxiom and Rosen are unknowns at this point.
