Right. I'm sure the duty cycle at high rpms is near 100%. Good thing all these cars are new so you don't have increased failure rates like you might with older injectors

I'd do the calculations myself, having tuned n/a and boosted cars on megasquirts and electromotive units, but these guys should provide these numbers for those who don't have the know-how to figure it for themselves... especially without having to ask several times for the figures.

@Livernois Motorsports

I've read the entire thread searching for an answer. I have found "it's ok" or "it's within the limits" or something of that nature. Can you please provide the actual max injector duty cycle percentage on E85 at 7000 or even 7500 rpms?
I'm interested in the tune but not without knowing the max duty cycle on stock injectors
Looking for numbers for a car with intake/headers/full exhaust

Thanks
I guess this thread died.....
No, it didn't die. Autorama happened. I was out of the office getting our booth setup, cars detailed and then working all weekend. BTW, the show was great I will make a thread and post pics if you missed it!

I have yet to see Livernois, Lund, or Bama release IDC numbers for stock injectors on E85.
I do not have the exact IDC, because the calibration team is not in yet for me to ask. However, I was present for testing and the DC is low enough for you to still be able to fun our FF tune in -10°!

Does someone have a link or can tell me the benifits of running e85? I would like to try it if its worth it. Especially of I can run both without switching tune
The reason that everyone wants to run E85 is for the additional octane properties VS 91/93. It is a far more powerful and cleaner burning fuel which leads to better power creation. You are more than welcome to try it, do you already have our MyCal tuner?

So is this just now a thing because of more advanced sensors monitoring A/F ratios in cars or advancements in tuning software? I always wondered why the PCM in cars couldn't adjust to whatever octane was being used on the fly and what not.

This is Ford making this possible. They have added sensors to the F150 and S550 that allow us to make this possible!:ford:

Isn't it basically the use of a wide-band O2 sensor before the cats that make the FF tune possible in the S550 which doesn't have a real FF sensor?

There are actually several additional sensors that are present in both Coyote applications that allow for the use of e85.

First impressions after about 25 miles is I would say nice and good. Power delivery is real smooth runs and idles with no problems. I filled up with 4 miles of 93 left in the tank. Took about 6 minutes for the A/f ratio to go from 13.9 to 10.0-10.3. Once that happened I knew the corn was in the system. The best way I could explain how the extra power felt. I would say the extra power difference feels the way the car felt going from stock manifold to my kooks long tubes. If that makes sense. You can feel that extra delivery. I now need some new tires and the bmr cradle lockout, to keep the ass planted. For a free tune revision you really can't beat it. Not to mention the price difference from 93

Excellent! Thank you very much for the detailed response. I hope to have the tune loaded this weekend and then for the weather to break so I can get the car out of storage. :headbang:
