I know there'll be a conference / seminar to attend interstate within the first three months as I'll be doing the log book for taxation purposes.

Got to love a tax deductible hobby...
If it's a 12 week log book you're doing, just don't forget log book period needs to be representative of normal use.

Sorry, the accountant in me had to say something.

Hi @aussierob did the pony logo come through the frost on the bonnet?

I can't see it in that photo
Definitely could not see a Pony symbol on the bonnet, but it was only dew that was on the car!
I was intrigued so went and had a look under the bonnet. Hard to confirm either way without removing the heatshield. I might try with a torch and mirror over the weekend.

Part of the slower than expected puzzle? Or just too early to tell?

One of the changes due to European safety regulations which never should have affected the Australian model

Did the first road trip this weekend to shake down the mustang.
From Sydney headed south through the National Park and Sea Cliff Bridge. Then did the Jamberoo Road from Albion Park to Kiama - perfect bit of curvy road to test handling, brakes and acceleration.

And? And? and?

What did you think of it all?

For those of us that have not got cars yet we have to live vicariously through those that do have them! More details please maybe a pic or two....

Hey Chris,
This was my first 'proper' drive of the mustang, which I've had for about a month. Was letting the engine run-in a bit, and this weekend was the first one where I had the spare time to get out of Sydney.
All I can say is it's AWESOME.
Very well suited to touring in the normal mode, and comes alive in Sport+ mode.
I'd say it is a little big & heavy for really tight twisty roads, but just perfect for most of the National Park and roads like Jamberoo Rd (maybe I still need to get used to its size & weight and its turning circle).
I still think the exhaust could be louder, but I do like the sound it makes.
Brakes are phenomenal, I couldn’t get them to overheat or fade through about 30 mins of very spirited driving. They just inspire confidence coming up to every corner.
Acceleration is as expected, effortless but requires revs which this engine seems to enjoy (not a lazy V8).
My mate who owns a HSV R8 had a go in the mustang yesterday, also noticed that this V8 handles the revs better than the LS engines.

Hope you get yours soon, so you can enjoy it like the rest of us.

Yep, an Auto.
Works fine in sport mode, downshifts early, revs up on downshifts.
I didn't feel the need to use shift paddles.
