Phew! - Just had an email from Karen to say that, after some chasing, they have got my car sailing on the Tarago on the 23rd Feb. It'll have only been at the docks for 7 weeks, so still a way of beating [MENTION=12964]Stark[/MENTION]'s record!

7 weeks is awful, if mine makes it over 3 weeks i'll be down someones throat... I'm already annoyed that mines been sat after gate released for fking 8 days.

Trains must be as bad and inconsistent as London Midland...

bet you lot can't wait for my ENTIRE story writeup when the car comes, might need an entire 30 pages. May as well go back to uni and write a dissertation on the mustang :lol:

Oh sh1t, if that's true, that's awful. I fear for our Jan build people that this could have happened to them @stiggy @Centurion07 @benanderson89 have you called your dealers to check if yours are okay (think you 3 were the jan builds of the top of my head?).

On another note, i'm somewhat relieved now that my car wasn't there at that point as that'd just add to the stress levels haha!

As it happens, Stuart just called me (Gowrings) and Vista still gives ETA of 9th April. Car was compound in on 28th Jan.

Banging then, looks like ford are beating us to this one... ALthough i fear they should have known cars were destroyed before now, it has been nearly 3 weeks since the snowstorm. :doh:.

Need to call my dealer at some point today anyway, bearing in mind he told me i could pickout my plate when they came in... Even though i wont be getitng my car till a month or so after, oops. We'll see if he know smines been built!

Well you might be lucky but the cars built w/c 11/1 have been at the docks around 3 weeks today and as far as I can see none of us have been booked on one of the boats leaving just under two weeks from now. Even assuming my car isn't holed below the waterline I don't expect to see it before mid-April now.

Just got an email back from Stacey. Mines still at the docks (1/11 build like others here).

Hopefully that doesn't mean "it's actually a cube of crushed steel sitting by the docks"

Around the time of the storms there were some cars marked as 'return to shipper' or something similar. I have some faith that Stacey would tell anyone affected by this. Fingers crossed for Fidelio sailing this weekend.

Will let you know any updates, obviously not getting it in time for my 50th though :(

I wasn't effected by this, I have faith Stacey and Karen would do the same. However those that became scrapped cars are only being told now (Karen/Stacey may not have their details, and it's really not their job to do, it's down to the dealers!), I wasn't one of these effected, nor would I have been - built date too late! Karens confirmed Shipping delays occured due to storms in her post.

There are no promises.

In an ideal world anyone who had their car trashed during shipping should take the next place on the production line. If their car was at the docks at the time then the additional delay could be as short as two weeks. In an ideal world. In Ford world who knows what it could mean.
