Hello peeps
I am currently looking for a tuner out here in the bay area for my ecoboost. Decided to go with @bamatune but was disappointed with the performance gains. 0-60 on stock was exactly 6 seconds with the tune and a magnaflow exhaust system i would be lucky to hit 6.5 seconds. Was thinking of getting unleashed custome tuning but still debating. With bama bad experience and tune being slower than stock i was looking for a local tuner where i can dyno my car and see results in person.

Any suggestions???

FFTec is in Hayward which if I remember correctly is north of San Jose.
They are a sponsor here and were one of the early adopters of the Ecoboost mustangs and do a lot of really nice work. https://www.fftec.com/

If you want an E-tune you can't go wrong with either Unleashed or Tune+.

I'll vouch for FFTEC as well. If you are local and want the car dyno tuned they are a great choice.

What are you California guys doing about CARB nazzis?!?

I wanted to run FBO when I bought my EB but risk of getting caught by the CHP and smog has crippled me with fear.

With CA emissions laws we only can get bolt on mods and for tunes im guessing as long as you can go back to stock u should be able to pass smog

Hey Mike!

We'd be happy to get your car on the dyno and build you a custom calibration. I'll send you a PM!

feel free to hit me up. I've already helped a few disappointed bama tuned folks, and I'd be happy to help you out too.

send me a message if your interested, I am an SCT custom tuner and you probably already have an X4.

thanks
Casey

Why does bama suck so much? really curious since they seem to have a ton of dissatisfied customers. You would think they would have a ton of connections to help with their tuning

+1 with this. If I want to upgrade my turbo, do I have to revert back to stock? Even with a catted down pipe as well?

Side note, Chad I doubt you will have any trouble with CHP, its the DMV that instills fear in my balls... wait... can I say balls on here?

Buy NEW and you wont have to worry about BS smog for 5 years!

I'm sure by the time 5 years rolls around you will be in another car. I'm hitting up year 3 in May and already wanted a new car since 2014. :headbonk:
