I received my VIN last Friday(02/05) and FP said that my order is scheduled to be built on 02/22. Mine's not an R though... It's definitely exciting to get a big status update like that. I don't mind waiting so much as not knowing.

^^I'm hoping that in 20 days or so the production starts up again. As far a VIN# it makes sense you should be able to have one a few weeks earlier, just for paperwork to start moving along. YES? I will bug him a little soon..lol

^^^^^^^^^^^I just called and they say that my car is scheduled but no VIN. He told me that they get a VIN# right before the car is built and as far as he knew, know R's are being built right now and that it might be another 30 days or so....but to check back in a couple of weeks..So looks like I will call around the 1st of March....I will be very interested to learn that anyone with a R, that has been recently scheduled has received a VIN#....and the wait continues....lol

Donson, as of last week my car was scheduled to be built on March 7th but with it having been scheduled and moved out 11 times now I am not counting on that being a firm production date.

The original scheduled production date for my car was October 5th and have had my VIN for 6 months now and VIN is G5520319.

My experience has been such as in my case a VIN can be assigned much ahead of the actual production of the car but the Monroney Sticker is usually not issued until ~7 to 10 days prior to production. Once you have a WS for your car the production date is real close.

With March not that far away I expect you will have some good news before the end of this month at least I hope so!

Try asking your dealer for the latest copy of the VVR or the daily status report from ford (this is where my VIN first popped up once it was scheduled). Ford performance also stopped giving rail order info, so perhaps you need to go through your dealer for the final details of the order.

So all you guys with your cars just suck!!! I did however FINALLY see one in the wild at coffe and cars last weekend and heard it run. There's was a group of ladies about 20' away when he cranked it up and they all jumped out of there skin! It was awesome.

Have you asked your dealer to push the regional rep on releasing your order? What priority # is on your order?

Congrats buddy! I was priority 10 back in August. No idea now.. and I called them and had them asking the regional rep, they said they "keep in touch often" yet two weeks later. Not a word from them.

Ordered exact same day. R, though. Still waiting.

It seems like if you ordered from a dealer that is one of the smaller dealers in an area of larger dealers, all of those dealers get their allocations first.

I have to admit - I wonder how zone reps are "convinced" to release specific dealers orders. I've offered donuts and it hasn't panned out. I'm so excited and anxious at the same time - making an effort not to be a total pain at the dealer or to the zone rep but I think my impatience is getting the better of me!
