Not going with GTechniq. My rate covers correction and a loan car.

You asked for info on GTechniq, I gave you that. So it really comes down to what you want :)

All the best buddy

I received a quote for $1199 for Opti coat Pro Plus, Opti Guard the interior and 3M Colour Stable Film or $1499 with the 3M Crystalline film. He did mention the colour stable is more popular because its a blacker film than the crystal. Not bad!!

$1499 all up interior exterior, wheels included? Where at? Lowest quote I got for Crystalline alone was $600.

Other films are darker yes, but Crystalline heat rejection kills all the (legal) competition. If you're just after the look, yeah crystalline is a bad idea.

Carbon Car Systems at Blacktown. Really nice guys and quick to respond. Done me a whole lot of quotes. Crystal on its own was $599 I haven't seen the Crystal in the flesh so I don't know how it looks. I would prefer heat dispersion over looks though. Is it a lighter film?

PM me your email if you like and Ill send you the quote

All good man. Same place I'll be going for CR40.

Heat rejection is my number one priority. Crystalline is 3x thicker than the average film. Don't really mind if it's totally clear but rejects heat and glare better :D

Maybe I'll see you there.

Doesnt have to be clear, looks like there are still plenty of tint colour shades available.

I get what you are saying now, its not quite as dark as say 'darkest legal' Tint but the CR40 should be dark enough once its on the car I think. You only lose 4% over darkest legal in NSW.

I haven't found a shop where they are willing to do my tint in Melbourne yet.

I have booked in my paint correction and protection (2 coats of opti-coat pro) with the best detailer in Victoria. I'll have to wait until the end of May but the guy is busy for a reason.

Nah what I meant was, I would rather take a clear/excellent heat rejection film over a dark/average heat rejection. Placing priority on the heat rejection/glare over looks.

With regards to CR40, yes it's plenty dark and only 5 percent over the "darkest legal". So it's not that noticeable unless you put 35 and 40 some by side.

Btw, carbon car has custom laser cut films and they have the measurements etc for the '15/'16. The rear is no problem.

Well my bliss with going with that detailer was short lived, I couldn't wait what was required so I have decided to go with someone else. I'm getting the a three stage correction, rims done and two layers of opticoat for essentially the same price.

Under the harsh bright lights my paint didn't look amazing, I had wet sanding marks which looks like a tennis ball has been etched into the paint and I also had multiple scratches across the bumper and a botched patch on my passenger door. The detailer said that mine is the 4th mustang he had seen and in the best condition, he is aware of 13 resprays already due to paintwork issues

Not a good record huh, might just get a custom respray done!

Nice thick Grabber Blue paint!
Im not even sure if im joking or not at the moment, will have to see what turns up at the dealership in a couple months.

Definitely looking forward to the pics after paint correction and opticoat!

It's certainly not positive personally I was already aware of one Mustang whose clear coat had failed.
