- We should have something for you guys in the next 2 weeks.
- Factory looks, Full warranty, better tech support.
- I can't comment on the price but you know I'll update when I can.
Will it have toggle switch replacments for the base buttons? If not I got you covered :D:thumbsup:

I did some googling and it looks like Raxiom gets their systems from Rosen, so it's likely to be the unit that has shown up on these forums before.

Here's a video of Raxiom's system for a Jeep: I assume that the UI will be similar. I wouldn't hold my breath for CarPlay/Android auto support though :(

It probably wont be that much. $1200 is a lot of money.
I would guess it to be around $750

$750 would be my absolute max if its 100% plug and play with zero glitches, and thats only if it does stuff like screen mirroring, has some nice color / graphics in various modes and not a super plain / boring UI, etc

The raxiom interface needs bit of a facelift.

Yes. Rosen Makes Raxiom.. and the User Interface will be the same as the other units.. no change.. Rosen hasn't even started using the latest iGO navigation software.. I can pretty much guarantee there will be no car play..

AM has a relationship with Rosen that is a bit different.. They paid for the R&D of the unit for the older Mustangs and Rosen cant sell that unit.. so AM may be able to pay them for a new interface.. but the price would go well above what you are willing to pay.

Rosen is part of AMP of America now.. so I don't know what will happen with it.. I know Rosen will be changing but I don't know to what extent... AMP of America owns MANY car audio companies.. so I am not sure if there will be any consolidation... but they own PAC-Audio.. Intrafex became part of Pac-Audio.. Stinger wiring.. and others..

I am guessing this is just a better quality version of the tomtom, which is going to be a hard sell at even 750, much less if its north of a grand.

we need a head unit! not just nav! we need to feed an amp with a decent signal! and sync is soooo bad! we need to replace sync!

ok, rant over.

a better tomtom unit is a nice thing to have. there is certainly room for improvement, but at the end of the day this is not solving the major problems for the base model in my opinion.

Full on aftermarket then. I had a Kenwood DNX-891HD in my 13 GT that was awesome and a million times better than the Rosen/rebranded Raxiom unit.

Not an option as of now.. no kits available.. it took a few years for there to be one for the s197 mustangs.. and the nicest one didn't come until almost the end of that mustang...

The Raxiom unit is basically an Integrated tom-tom.. it uses all the factory parts.. just replaces the bezel and screen.. same as the unit for the 197 mustangs

Right out of the gate the unit will not be listed at $1200

I can confirm screen mirroring as well.
