I have been driving my GT with less than 7,000 miles on her, and she has quit twice. Both times at less than 30 MPH and normal driving! I had to stop the car and set it in park and restart.. Has anyone else had this?

Yes. But if you look there's another forum thread topic named " Issues, Warranty, Repairs" relating to these issues.

Moved to the appropriate section. I haven't merged with the other "stalled" thread yet, but take a look at it in this section.

Good luck.

Hi n813ca,

I want to look into this further. Please send me a private message with your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer info.

There's many of us that have experience this. Is your car with a manual transmission? Having the car stall does not generate a check engine light and basically bringing it to the dealer have been useless so far as they would need to replicate the issue to investigate further. This issue have been intermittent and would be hard to replicate. There has been a TSB out in regards to idle dipping low and causing a stall but no one has posted anything about getting the TSB done and resolving their stalling issue.

I test drove a GT / manual this past summer that mysteriously stalled at the end of my test drive, while at idle. Started right up again.

You might swing the car by the dealership to have them check the OBD2

Otherwise, I'd probably get an odb2 device and keep it plugged in all the time, and when the engine stalls, check to see if it generated a code. $14 on amazon:

The problem is that there are no error code produced otherwise the MIL would illuminate. Only real way to find out what is going on is to have an advance OBD2 scanner and analyze the live data when it does happen to maybe pinpoint what went wrong.
Basically datalogging the whole entire time and wait until it happens.

While that is mostly true, pending DTCs can still be generated without setting the MIL. Most scan tools will pick them up, but depending on the type of DTC (Generic OBDII vs. Manufacturer Specific) you may not be able to read it with a generic scan tool. The best tool available is the one that dealers use, which is the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).

My 2015 GT PP car w/ right at 12k miles has done this probably 6 times in the past year that I have owned it, the last time being about 2 weeks ago. Always seems to do it when I'm coming to a stop or at a stop. I hope to hell it doesn't do this crap while I'm driving it on the hwy or anything above 10mph because then I would instantly have no breaks or power steering. I see no reason in taking it to a dealership because there is no CE light or wrench light, and no record of it or what might have caused it logged anywhere, and as stated earlier, we just get told the "oh well we cant replicate it so we cant do anything about it" crap. Do Camaros and Corvettes do this?

Car should not be doing that. Something is wrong. I would look into getting an OBDII reader with data logger function and see if you can capture anything.

It did it when I had a SCT X4, and nothing showed up, I now have HP tuners and still nothing when it happens.. and the car does it regardless if its on a stock tune or aftermarket tune.

the tuner has a continuous data log function capturing all the OBD II data and there is nothing at a time of stall?

The tuner wasn't plugged in all the time/everytime I drove the car, however I would think that would catch something if that was done. I don't drive the car everyday, and it just sits in my garage for the most part.
