He might have been referring to the offset wheel package on the PP.Won't get into many specifics about the dealer. He was nice, knew more than others I'd spoken to. But he said something odd I wanted to run by the group... We talked about my plan to put a full size spare in the trunk (at times). He said it was a bad idea. At first I thought he meant due to putting a front wheel on the rear (potentially) but what he meant was something about throwing off the balance of the car or putting too much weight on the rear...something along those lines. Is that making sense to anyone? Would putting a full size wheel in trunk and even heavier passengers in the rear seats...screw anything up mechanically...maybe over time? Just never read anything about that here.
EDIT: Forgot to add that right when we got out on the road, this guy in an SUV actually revved his engine and "raced" me! Are these cars a magnet for those challenges daily?? My wife and I got a kick out of it.
So overall, thoroughly impressed!! I've got ZERO complaints other than the fact that I can't buy one until mid-June when the $1k/mo day care bills stop. :(
Can't wait to get my hands on one and drive it every day!

Please talk more about that. So if I took a FULL SIZED front wheel and moved it to the back, that'll destroy the torsen/rear diff.?He might have been referring to the offset wheel package on the PP.
You would destroy your torsen if you placed a "front spare" on the rear, in short order.
Yup I know the one you mean. That's why, what you shared threw me off. But it sounds like we're on the same page with the FULL SIZE spare being good to go.Im pretty sure there it wont mess your torsen up. There is a thread exactly on this somewhere here. i think its in the tech section. A guy emailed/spoke directly to the torsen people.
Agreed. At that point it's not a big deal (in the grand scheme of cost). Plus, you could always go centri (vs. PD) and have a blast with the 3:73s.If you've got the money to install a supercharger kit, it's not all that much more to regear your diff if you want to.
That something that can be done with basic hand tools or does it need something else?Agreed. At that point it's not a big deal (in the grand scheme of cost). Plus, you could always go centri (vs. PD) and have a blast with the 3:73s.
Ahh...the all too familiar "famous last words" as the GT is like a drug. You become accustom to it's power after awhile, then you end up spending way too much time in the tech subforums reading about all the go-fast things people are doing and before long you'll be on your way to being a crazed speed freak.:eyebulge:That something that can be done with basic hand tools or does it need something else?
Again, ZERO plans to alter the basic function of the car. Just curious.
Thanks

Sorry, but that is 110% absolutely RETARDED. Year of college at most decent schools. SMHI'm with you on the daycare, we have a year and a half until our little one starts school than we'll finally be free. When we had both kids in full time and they were really little our day care cost was $17,500 for the year!
I know that when I shop for day care I don't go the "budget" route. Safety and piece of mind are expensive these days. And I too SMH.Sorry, but that is 110% absolutely RETARDED. Year of college at most decent schools. SMH
To the OP
Glad you will be joining us in June.
Exactly!! Sure there are ones out there for half the price but then you go to pick your kid up and he's bleeding from his head and the woman that's supposed to be watching him (instead of teaching him) can barely speak english and has no clue how it happened....I know that when I shop for day care I don't go the "budget" route. Hmm...well I guess I should never say never. But what's it cost...like $10k to super charge one of these with quality parts/tune? I don't see that happening for a minimum of 10 years after paying the car off. And I'm guessing you can't do payments.Ahh...the all too familiar "famous last words" as the GT is like a drug. But in all actuallity there are a few forum members here that will keep their car relatively stock.![]()

Right, I've been down that road and I wasn't a new Mustang owner as you're doing. So yeah, enjoy the ride!:cheers:Hmm...well I guess I should never say never. While paying the car off should only take two years, my wife is now wanting another baby....so time to start riding the day-care-bill-nightmare-train again... :eyebulge:
...oh well...at least I'll enjoy the ride this time cruising around in the GT!
