WTH????

how are parts $319.98, when they are sold for $199.95

Labor price is ridiculous- it's a three hour job max, I've been quoted $300 best and $350 is good as well...although, I'm getting a forum friend to install them for a lot cheaper.

Alignment sounds right

Run away from that shop, they are ripping you off!

Yeah, I looked at it this way. They apparently do not want my business that bad. I have already ordered the springs which arrived today (Thank you for your quick service and easy transaction BMR). Plus ill do the install myself, once i get some other parts i would like to add. Just cant believe the markup...

They are trying to scam you by selling you the springs for a $100 more!!

I got quoted a similar labor price, when I called several shops, I think it was like $575, they were the outlier though. Most were in the $300 range, but yeah it's better to do the install yourself if you can...save a lot of money that way.

If you ever need recommendations of shops or anything like that, post this in the california section, I always get really good local info.

Like others have said, springs should cost you around $300 to install. Alignment price looks good. And they should only tax you on the springs, as labor isn't taxable.

Being a service advisor and doing this install. I would expect a 4-5 hour estimate + alignment. So depending on the shops labor rate I think some of these estimates are pretty spot in. If I'm the tech and I want to be profitable I'm going to say at least 1 hour a corner plus alignment.

Shops are total Rip-Offs where I live on spring installs. They want to charge shop rate of about $125 - $150hr and then charge the 4-5 hrs spring manufactures recommend. We all know this is BS as you
(a reputable shop) can easily install in 2 hrs so if you want to charge the $125-$150 per hr then just charge the actual time. If you can't install in 2 hrs then I don't want you working on my car.

I guess that's why so many people just install themselves. Don't mind paying to play but getting ripped is another story.

I am no mechanic and I installed my KW coilovers using a jack, two jack stands working in the open (no shop) with a battery powered impact, spring compressor, and torque wrench in 2 hrs and it came out perfect. Now I just need an alignment.

I just can't see paying those prices. I've been calling around to different places and I just got a quote from a reputable performance shop for around $300 and the of rest them have been above $500. Keep looking you'll find a good shop for a decent price.

Big difference going to a place with flat rate mechanics, opposed to going to a performance shop with hourly guys or an owner operator.

Holy crap. The prices that some of you are getting quoted are near what I had my headers installed for.
