I will be putting on my winter setup, PP wheels/Pilot sport AS-3 in a few weeks and will post a review.

Anyone know the largest diameter possible before rub? The largest 255's available are 60/r19 which is a 31" diameter, that's 4 inches larger than stock PP. Guess I'll just turn my wheel all the way and see if there's 2 inches to spare on each corner. Trying to gain a few inches of clearance this winter.

31" will be pushing it IMO. I had 225/60/18s on my 2012 and that was a large tire at just over 29". The 2012 also has much more fender to tire clearance than the 15s. I had problems with snow and ice building up in the rear fenders to the point I lost almost all suspension travel and the tries were rubbing the ice constantly.

I would think a 29" tire would work. And give you a half inch to 3/4" more ground clearance.

At least that's what I hope to run again on my 15. 225/60/18

Does anybody know if a 255 40 19 tire on a 9.5 inch rim will fit the front of a GTPP. I know stock PP wheels are a 9.0 on the front. Also I'm wondering if a 9.5 will be too much for a 255 winter tire.

Will fit depending on offset. I run 275s on the front of mine. As others have said, wider tires isn't ideal for snow tires.

The tires aren't wider, 255 is stock on the front on the GT PP. The stock rim is a 9.0. I cant find a cheap 9.0. American Muscle stocks 8.5, 9.5, and 10 for their "cheaper" wheels.

Basically I didn't want to go narrower, and thats what I ll have to do for the 8.5.

We're all well aware what's on the car stock. The point was narrower in snows works better. Apparently you have it figured out, good luck.

I'm going to be mounting yokahama ig52c 255 40 19 on stock PP wheels which are 9.5 rear. I believe you should be fine. I'll report back once they're mounted

They'll still fit, though you will have ZERO curb protection. I would run 8.5" wheels if you just haaaaad to run 255s, though 235s would be better

Yeah thats a good point right there, think I ll go with the 8.5 wheels along with 245s. Now just gotta decide between Blizzak LM-32 and Michelin x ice xi3.
