First night I brought my home, I pulled up the pop out rocking chair in the garage - ended up getting hammered alone just staring at her…wife came outside and just said, “what’s wrong with you?” I said, “you’ll never understand baby, just leave me in peace.”Check another item off the list of why these cars are so great. TG, could you hear the bearing squealing or was there smoke/smell? Or did you notice it while removing a wheel or brakes. Curious how you knew it needed replacement. I haven't had one go out on me yet but I'd like to catch it before it's completely crippled.Replaced the LR bearing hub @ 19.8k miles. Top portion of the hub in the photos was 6 o'clock portion where the bearing shavings accumulated and rusted...but, thankfully, she just popped right out. Tossing some lessons learned in the Suspension/Brakes/Chassis forum as the CJ Pony Parts video was a bit 'underwhelming'....
I found it when I had the car jacked up to decontaminate the sidewalls prior to applying BlackOut (easier to do if you can spin the wheel). While grabbing the wheel to spin it, I could feel the slight wobble that would create about 1mm of space btwn the rotor and pads.TG, could you hear the bearing squealing or was there smoke/smell?
