Dealer called, cracked oil pump gear

That sucks.....sorry man. It's nice the dealer isn't keeping the cause of failure under some super secret veil. No way to know how many engines have failed for this reason, but with the number of units out there it still seems like an anamoly. Makes you wonder if these random cases are debris related.

Drove my car at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) at a charity event yesterday evening with another local owner. More photos/video soon, still editing!

We did 2 sessions of "parade laps" with pace car(s). First session I did avg speed upper 60s. Second session we did avg speed in the 80s, hitting 110 mph max. We were able to take whichever lines we wanted, get up high and close to the wall etc. The voodoo sounded AMAZING at high rpm close to those walls. I wish we had someone filming in the in field who could report on how good it sounded hearing our cars going around the track. Maybe next year!

Tint

15% Ceramic sides and back, 70% Ceramic on front. Global brand. I'm a "prove it" kind of guy, checked interior temps of multiple black cars of mine, including dashboard temp with a temp gun, this is the only one with full ceramic tint, all temps were identical so I think the ceramic craze might be overdone, oh well.

FYI - make sure you request they use your jacking rails or they put the pads on the car. Getting oil line recall done. I pulled bellynpan and splitter in advance.

Dropped her off for the oil line recall. Also the dealer confirmed I need a new radiator due to a slight coolant leak. First time Shelby has spent the night away from me since my first purchase. Hope they ticked her away for the night.

Drove it for the 1st time in 3 weeks as I had been on travel for work. Was at a gas station refueling when I got a thumbs up and nice comment from another Mustang driver. I thanked him and gave him a thumbs up while saying "Mustangs Forever!" Big smiles all around.

The crimps were all dry and looked good.
BTW it can't be done without dropping the belly pan.

Xpel Ulitimate - full hood, fenders, front bumper, mirror caps, rockers, in front and behind rear wheels, A-pillars and leading edge of roof.

Billet engine caps, CPC hydrocarbon fuse box, radiator bottle and brake reservoir covers. JLT Oil Separator.

I plan to change out the coil covers to Ruby Red with white letters. Not happy with hydrocarbon match between the coil covers and other stuff.
