Apologies I can't format picture sizes on my phone.

Went down to Mustang Motorsport and ran into their convertible with roush exterior goodies and ended up doing an exhaust comparison video.

The roush exhaust didn't sound as good as what I thought it would to be honest.

Yeh it is. Lucky you can't really see how dirty it is in that picture. Just came back from doing a windy hill climb

I'm not sure if it was the axle or catback I forgot to ask. It sounded a bit quieter than what I thought (with baffle open) with the baffle closed it was quieter than stock

Well after many many months of waiting I finally picked up my car yesterday!

initial thoughts

  • in the flesh : looks sensational - I agree with all the comments previously made around just how much better it looks in real life
  • drive(s) : well its bloody fantastic - the drive modes surprisingly really do change the character of the car - definitely liking sport mode + (haven't tried race yet but will do shortly). Also loving that big bonnet out the front and the roar of the V8 once it gets going (but ....see below).

Two comments I will make:
  • Exhaust is very quiet for a V8 (mind you I am used to my custom exhaust on my 2001 cobra) - you really need to put your foot down to get the V8 to roar - definitely moving exhaust up in my priority for mods.
  • Handling is not bad but i think there room for improvement (particularly in torsional stiffness given its a convertible). I probably need to do more KMs but doubt I'll change my mind.

But all that said its still just puts a huge smile on your face and that just blows all the pain of waiting away.

I'll post some photos soon....Sun's out and really I need to get off this computer, out the roof down and get out there!!

Here's an EB I spotted in Woodend today. Hang on! That's mine!
I love this car. I'm getting 24mpg. And all the fun I can handle. This car is VALUE FOR MONEY. If you haven't done so already, go and slap down your deposit. You will not be disappointed.
Is that a US gallon or an imperial gallon?

Its probably US gallons. I got it by changing the unit of measurement on the trip computer.

So Ford Australia have advised that I have an April Build date for my Car. I wonder how long I have to wait to get a VIN number.
