I just wanted some feedback on whether this mod actually makes a difference besides making noise.

Short answer is no. I have one installed that came with the intercooler upgrade with charge pipes and felt no difference.

Does it get rid of the annoying thud/vacuum noise the stock BOV makes since the GT350 CAI was installed? I hate that noise and would love to get rid of it.

I dumped mine. I was getting surge and couldn't ever get it adjusted right. Probably just going to upgrade the actuator using the GFB part.

I can't get mine adjusted, either (Kompact Dual Port). The first one blew apart because I loosened it too much and was still getting low boost flutter. I have a new one on, but it does the same thing. Annoying.

Odd, I have not had any trouble with mine at all.

makes the tune more consistent, we have lots of them installed with our lund tune.

It made a noticeable difference for me. My factory BPV must have been leaking and I wasn't aware. I put my TS Race BOV in and I felt a big seat of the pants difference.
That is the only scenario I can see that it would make a difference other than the consistency that Beefcake mentioned above.

They work properly.
Why would we make a product that doesn't? That would be silly.
Changing springs is an option to tune for personal preference and vehicle mods.
My guess is you have an aftermarket CAI and you are hearing things you never heard before.
Put the stock airbox back on and make more power ;-)
