Totally agreeI think there is now confusion as this thread was originally started for the Tomtop head unit owners only & their issue's... Its now way off topic, maybe time to start a new thread for the other units?? Just a suggestion
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1013059I have an iPhone 6+ I just bought this unit and am ready install it when it comes in.
I am very curious if anyone has mirrored it with the same phone, I have looked at some options but don't want to waste money/time if it does not work.
so for iphone i chose to go with a wired set up. This allows phone charging and gets rid of all issues associated with wifi screen casting. I used these products http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Lightni...&sr=8-9&keywords=lightning+digital+av+adapter
http://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Ext...4155&sr=8-3&keywords=lightning+cable+extender
http://www.amazon.com/Tendak-Compos...TF8&qid=1452894225&sr=8-4&keywords=HDMI+to+av
http://www.amazon.com/Male-Female-s...894771&sr=8-1&keywords=2+female+to+1+male+usb
those are the only things you need to buy unless you don't have AV cables lying around the house like I did (red white yellow av cables like for an older tv). I installed the tomtop Via the write up in another post, but I attatched the Yellow av video cable to the DTV cable on the tom top harness and the white and red av cable into the tom top harness as well. I then ran the three AV cables and the tomtop harness USB wire with the usb splitter cord under the center console all the way to the back of the console (console removal is also outlined in another thread). I then hooked up the hdmi to av converter to the cables that i ran and used a small 1 ft HDMI cord to hook the iphone digital Lightning av converter and a regular lightning cable to the USB splitter that is attatched to the tomtop usb cord then hooked up the HDMI to av converter (it has a power cable included in its box) and the lightning cable into the Lightning av converter. at this point you should have screen mirroring enabled once you hook the Lightning av converter into your phone! I went a step further and drilled a small hole into the bottom of the center console under the arm rest to run the lighting cable extention and hide all the other wiring so only one lighting cable shows from the bottom. if there are any questions or if this isnt clear please let me know

how did you get the mirror option to work. did you get all those different adapters? or just one.no audio will play on my unit, radio wont even function in anyway at all.....
At this point about to give up on this unit, hasn't even been 24 hours but I am fed up.
Phone mirroring very easy to do, is a cool feature but pointless if no sound works.
Hope to come across a fix, because I do not see it being easy to get a replacement one or money back
Nope its pretty quick. I am waiting for a replacement and it should be here in a few days. I got mine on ebay and the screen was bad so they are sending me a replacement. If this one is bad im just going to get a refund and wait for this new unit to come out I hope its cheaper than $580 that is the quote I got from the manufacture which is a lot more for pretty much the same unit.Has anyone had a problem with delivery from Tomtop?
my issue with my first unit was the screen stoped working after only one day. all the other stuff I got working it was mostly my fault on install. now I need to figure out how to get the front camera hooked up and get the mirror option to work on my iphoneDelivery was quick, ordered from Tomtop.com directly. They shipped out next day, got here in 4 days. Was impressed how fast it got here but now sad it is not working much
