Ok- sounds like my clunking noises are driveline related then; I don't have any clicking sounds.

I have some low speed clunking and my suspension parts list included the shock mounts...how can I tell whether the low speed clunking is related to shock mounts vs "driveline slop" or "shift shock"?
If the rear mount nut isn't tight enough, you will hear a distinct metal clunk when you go over curbs and such, and only then. It won't change with what the throttle/clutch are doing. You can also distinctly hear it coming from the rear suspension.

Mine is directly related to shifting at low speeds; 1st to 2nd, 2nd down to 1st, etc. The sound doesn't happen when going over bumps, curbs, or road imperfections.

It is critical, otherwise you will get some pretty noticeable clunking.

It depends on the type of damper you have. Steeda/Koni dampers have a hex at the end for an allen key. Ford OE/Ford Racing have a flat on the shaft end. You have to be able to hold the shock shaft simultaneously while tightening the nut. A 21 mm strut nut socket is ideal for this.
Is the OE/Ford Racing 21mm? I seem to remember it being smaller when I checked, but maybe i'm confusing the front with the rear. I need to locate one of those strut sockets...not easy to track down in Aus!

For those customers with a backorder ... the mounts will be back in stock in a week or 2.

Thank you for an incredible 4th of July Sale - we took a lot of hits to our inventory!
