My billet shock mount on the right has an issue with it. The spherical bearing is frozen. I spoke with Jigar on the phone about it. He wants me to send it in for replacement, but I don't have the old mounts/shocks. Not sure what to do...

Because of the overwhelming response during our 4th of July Sale, we are looking at 1 to 2 weeks ... depending on the model.

What is the torque procedure for the mounting nut on the Steeda mounts? Is setting the correct torque critical?

It is critical, otherwise you will get some pretty noticeable clunking.

It depends on the type of damper you have. Steeda/Koni dampers have a hex at the end for an allen key. Ford OE/Ford Racing have a flat on the shaft end. You have to be able to hold the shock shaft simultaneously while tightening the nut. A 21 mm strut nut socket is ideal for this.

Hey TJ, I ordered a set of the 555-8160 rear mounts back on the 21st. Jigar e-mailed me on the 22nd and said one to two week back order. Any chance of shipping in the next week??

The spherical bushing in the mount should move, right?
How much force should it take?

I have some low speed clunking and my suspension parts list included the shock mounts...how can I tell whether the low speed clunking is related to shock mounts vs "driveline slop" or "shift shock"?

It will sound move like a clicking noise and is much louder. The slop will sound like a clunk whereas the shock mounts will sound like a metal clicking noise. I had this issue and used a torque wrench with a craw foot to get it to spec. Still got loose so I went back in and used a impact wrench (not recommend) to tighten down. No more noise besides the driveline slop now.

If impact wrench, its fine to use it, just stop really fast after it tightens. Loctite helps too if needed.
