Anything is possible, but I can sympathize with you. I couldn't buy my C7 w/o it.
I've read about after-market units that connect through OBD-II, although I'm suspicious about the quality of those implementations and also the compatibility. The upcoming product from Navdy looks promising, but I believe that it only gets its info from a smart-phone, and not from the OBD-II itself. Always possibilities...I've coded my BMW to do things that BMW NA wouldn't be too happy about too :)

When do we think the V6 EB will be making it's appearance? Any serious guesses?

My very uneducated guess would be 2-5 years until we see a 2.7L EB V6. I don't see them replacing the V8 with the larger EB V6 until after 5 years.

Yah I was thinking 3 years at the earliest.

I could see them ditching the V6 in a year or two and just having 4 choices. EB standard, EB premium, GT standard, GT premium.

Then a few years later the 2.7 slots between them.
