So this is a common problem on all the 15-18 gt350 and 15-17 mustangs.

I was at the dealer buying some parts and I noticed the new 18+ mustang have these rubber pieces that the older models do not have.

I looked at my hood and we do have the holes so maybe this will solve our issue with the lifting. I am going to buy it and try it and see if it works .

Also, the 2018 mustang GT hood is incredibly heavy.

They're all aluminum. I can't see the benefit of having different material for the different models. Other than the heat extractors in the GT hood, they should all be identical, otherwise that would be a manufacturing nightmare.

Curious how that would help. Wouldn't it raise the hood slightly, making it more likely to catch air and bounce around?

Did you notice how thick that part was? You may be on to something, I've read about others who have added weatherstripping on top of the headlight with little sucess.

That was my feeling when I got '18 after '15 but thought it could have been the struts I had installed on '15 vs. nothing on the '18. It does seem heavier though.

Also, the hood prop is much nicer on the 18+. It doesn't curve like ours that sits metal to metal and scratches the bottom of the hood.

It does have a plastic piece at the end that fits nicely inside of the square opening .

Curious to know at what speed does the fluttering start & does it continue to get worse? Thanks

When i first took my car to ACS track here, i had to come in to pits to check if my hood was open. Hitting 130+ , the hood starts to look like it will flip open any time.. scared the shit out of me.
