Happy with test at MSR Cresson. My Fastest time of the day was in 3rd session, it was cold but still dry (6th overall). Second fastest time on street tires, so that is a good test for Optima and CAM classes!

Removed 11.5 lbs of rotational mass from the car today. Going to do a few more things while I am under here, but can't wait to test it out!

Dusold Designs: Project 6G

I will be Testing the GT350R Carbon rear spoiler, from Carbon Dynamics, on track this weekend so I decided to install it tonight. So here you go:

First step was to tape up the area I was drilling.

Next I used tape to transfer the mounting holes to the deck lid.

Drill the holes

Next I drilled through the second layer so I would know where to put the access holes for the bolts.

Using a Unibit I opened the inside holes for the hardware.

Line up the spoiler with the holes in the deck lid and stick it down with the 3M tape. Then install the 8 bolts. This is the only part I made a change, I substituted the provided bolts with stainless button heads so the access holes for the hardware didn't have to be so big. A T handle Allen makes installing the bolts much easier. I have some cleanup to do an the holes and some paint to prevent rust. I am also going to get some rubber plugs to fill the holes for a cleaner look. Other then that, it's a wrap. Total install time 1hr 15 minutes

The finished product looks great and I am very pleased with the Fit and Finish of the Carbon Dynamics Spoiler!

It will be interesting to see if you notice any difference in downforce between the 2 spoilers.

I plan to run this spoiler on the high speed tracks we race on. I will run my spoiler for AutoX and slower tracks.
