What does me driving a Saab has to do with anything? I am not posting my expertise in Mustang. The reason I am on this forum is because I am planning on buying a Mustang. Hence asking questions related to it. Go check my "19 posts"

No reason to get salty.

Best of luck on your purchase.

Only just realised that the new 2018 hood accent line kinda looks like the one on the 2015 Saleen hood:
And only slightly less hideous there.

To the guys and gals that are going to trade your 15-17 used for a new 18' do you order now and pay when you go trade in your car? I'm planning on watching the market for the used 2015-2017s coming in closely and scooping one up. It would be nice to start seeing them this fall
hmmm wondering the same

So far the only one thing I don't like about the 18" is the new big rear spoiler on the GT PP (1 or 2 pkg) I

I'm hoping there will be a spoiler delete option !!

I totally agree. One thing that I appreciated so much about the '15-'17 Performance Package was that they deleted the spoiler. It was an admission that the usual spoiler was a visual gimmick only and since this package was serious about performance, that spoiler did not belong.

The new spoiler seems to be following the trend of the more road course ready pony car packages like the 1LE, ZL1, Challenger T/A that have increasingly more aggressive bits and vinyl tacked on. Marketing says that the cars need to be flashy again to compete, I guess...

If the new performance package spoiler is functional (and that's really unlikely) I'd feel much less negative about it...but I'd still prefer a clean, bolt hole-free trunk lid. God knows the gorgeous fastback of the S550 doesn't need any visual help.

Of course, the GT350TP spoiler being the exception.

IMO, almost every spoiler I have seen on the S550 car seems out of place or does not flow smoothly enough for me to pull the trigger. They either have too much gap between the trunk or they completely lose the flow of the rear end. I think I just have issues with things that look "stuck" on.

The CS one is just perfect, even on a Vert

In one of the videos posted, the chief engineer mentioned it was to balance out the performance effect of the front. The degree to which it adds downforce vs drag, of course, can only be speculated, but it's appearance is similar to the the GT350R, which suggests functional to me.

Oh yeah. Now that you mention this, I do recall these comments.
I guess this brings me personally a bit closer to a neutral feeling about the spoiler...but I really don't think it improves the look of the S550's profile and I could take it or leave it, I guess.

The GT350 does look gorgeous as a composition, spoiler and all...but I can't say that it wouldn't look better without it. Purely my opinion.

I seem to recall them saying they tried their best to keep the spoiler aero neutral. I take this to mean, they designed it to have the minimum amount of impact on the airflow.

Regardless, It's a pita to keep all of the nooks and crannies of spoilers clean.
