Updated without a hitch using a USB. Followed the ford owner site instructions to T. So glad this is finally on here after being promised this a year ago.

Official Update from Ford - 2016 Ford Mustang Sync 3 Ver 2.2

Ford.com has made the Sync3 update version 2.2 available online from their website. I had tried searching via Wifi for an update, but nothing showed up. So I went to their website, and lo and behold and update was available. It stated 2.2, although I had already installed a backdoor 2.2 update a month ago, I decided to install it anyway given I trust official updates more. Installed no problem. First thing I noticed was the build number. Its 17011 versus the 16*** previously. I'll check whether or bluetooth connectivity has improved later, but I thought I'd share that Ford has released an official update on their website.
