You would need at least 1/4" thick for that. You should buy a small piece and put it in the trunk near the amp and test for high temp impact. I was thinking the same thing as a clear cover to the airbox under the hood. But I think the high temps may warp or crack it.

Absolutely no regrets, and you'll get used to shelving it every year. Though those really nice spring days in the 70's, but still snow on the ground, will sting a little leaving it in the garage.

I doubt it was powder coated. Powder coating requires a pretty hot baking process that would melt all those plastic pieces. I smell phony you-tube on that one!
