Looks goooooood! ...... but as you say, the grill looks like it needs something now. Were you not tempted to gloss that also?
I was advised against doing the grill by the owner of the body shop. He is really good and comes well recommended so I was not going to go against it.

He explained that because of the shape it is hard to guarantee the paint would not flake off around the grill edges. .

You had to come up with something!! lol.
I will have a look tomorrow. I dont think you can get it wrong as it comes with a template that you line up with the boot.
;)

I dunno, it's just all the ones I've seen tend to hang off the edge rather than where your one is. But if it comes with a template...

Is it not a Ford spoiler or am I thinking of someone else that's planning on fitting one?

I like it a lot!
I think you should consider:
- Black pony in front
- Black 5.0 badges
- Black flat rear GT batch or plain decklid

You going to lower and spacer wheels out a little, that would finish it and give such a mean/aggressive yet exotic look. :)

Thanks,

Black Pony? NO!
I get why, it makes complete sense and 100% with what I am doing(especially when you see my next two answers) but I just cant!

The chrome pony is an iconic part of a Mustang. It is Mustang. Do I like it? Not really. Do I love it? not much. Do I love the idea of it? Yes. Its like the silver lady on a rolls or the leaping cat on a jag. It has to stay.

I am considering changing the grill but if I do, I will be putting the Pony back on!

Black 5.0 badges? Yep

Rear Deck panel? Yep, not sure which one yet but I will be changing.

Yes, I want to widen and lower. Waiting to see what others do first though

Quick question on the rear decklid panel badging. I don't think its possible to get a panel with a black US-style GT emblem so the options are clean panel with a stick-on badge or plasti-dip a chrome GT. I have no experience with the product; how would someone go about plasti-dipping the GT black. Would it need to be removed from the panel? I imagine its plastic welded on.

I've modded every car I've owned.
And this is the longest I've owned a car without tuning or chipping it :)

You would bring up chips wouldn't you, at least they're relevant for the oven :dnftt:

SteveS you can buy a plain rear decklid and a black badge for the back, the badge is adhesived on afaik.

Last time I really modded a car was my 1973 Vauxhall Chevette. I managed to take a 1800cc engine out a Vauxhall Magnum. High lift cams and a few other mods and I was soon pushing 100bhp!!
When the big ends went, I sold it for a Lotus Sunbeam and managed to put that through a hedge. The hedge didn't caused much damage but the kerb I hit en route ripped out the front suspension and shunted the engine and gbox back about a foot!
