So, I have an indoor car show this weekend. I wasn't aware that you can only have a 1/4 tank. Got the car professionally detailed today for the show. Now, I need to pull out about 8 gallons of gas... how does one do this?!? I managed to get a hose in and pushed to bottom, and didn't even touch gas.

Help!!!!

let it idle for a LOOOONNNNNNGGGG time or disconnect the fuel line at the fuel rail and manually run the pump

Disconnect fuel line, attach hose to end, run other end to buckets, pull starter fuse, "crank" until tank is empty.

Dunno of that will work but seems like it will

Siphon? Stick a hose in the gas tank like you're stealing it.
If only it were that easy!!!! Been trying for an hour and that just doesn't work.

Simple either disconnect the Fuel line and pump out that way, leave the car running, or dump the tank... those are your only options if you aren't trying to drive it...

Or you can just jack up the car and floor it..

I'd say go for a long drive and then do detailing touch ups when you get back (and once the engine has cooled back down.)

Use the special funnel that is in the trunk.

Just go to the car show with the full tank. Most likely nobody is going to check your fuel levels
