Hellcat is carrying a passenger
Exactly.

I have only ridden in a HC. I can tell you that it sounded like he was short shifting but I believe the HC driver was trying to hit the sweet spot. For factory tuned cars, redline shifting rarely equates to best track times.

That said, it does not look like either can pull away after 4th. I do not see where one can catch and overtake the other if caught sleeping.

Car and Driver subscribers need to check the road test almanac for the 2015 test data. It is very revealing. There are a lot of cars that better our GT350s in 0-60 and 1/4 times. Not as many better than 1.0 skid pad though.

Also, who cares, the GT350 is hands down better overall car.

HC (Charger) g-meter at Nürburgring. Stock (all-weather) tires, no mods. No match for the base/tech GT350 (until the 15-20 minute mark anyway), but better than advertised.

I've beat that both braking and acceleration and haven't tried. Just under a G on laterals.

Not impressive from a comparative standpoint. No doubt the base/tech GT350 can beat it with relative ease (prior to the 15 min mark). Only impressive from standpoint of exceeding common expectations for HC.

Another good example of the GT350 hood lift at high speed.

And you've tracked a HC to compare it at the 15min mark?

Yes, that's a buddy's HC. Have tracked it at the Ring and run it on the Autobahn (192mph--with a passenger). Goal is to hit 200 on the Autobahn, but have to wait for the weather to clear. Also, he just got PCS orders, so it may not happen.

Not a huge fan of the vehicle myself--too big. But, I have to give it credit for exceeding expectations on the track. The 192 on the AB was impressive, but not surprising.

Look at that GT 350 hood raising up. Active aero..
After the video ends a bunch of other Youtube videos pop up. One is a Hellcat vs. Viper. The hood on the HC looks like it opens enough to stick your hand in.

Aero plays a big role at those speeds. Challenger has a Cd of .40. GT350R is .34.

Where did you find the Cd? How different is the GT350 vs GT350R?

Don't forget that Cd is only part of the equation...the size of the car, specifically 'frontal area' matters as well. Obviously that's the same for the Mustangs but I'd imagine the Hellcat's is bigger.
