Just installed some Power Stop Z26 pads to replace my worn, noisy, stock pads. So far so good. A little less grabby than stock PP1 pads which is a good thing. No squeaking is a big improvement. Supposedly less dust would be a big plus. I will follow up later with more miles. Happy for now, especially considering the price.

I'm curious if anyone has used DBA pads and also why they don't appear to make pads for the rear nor 6-pots but have SKU for rotors...

Anyone try EBC pads?
I have tried a set of the EBC Yellowstuff pads...not a good match for the street on the PP1. Very noisy and grabby. Lots of brake dust also. I will save them for a track day pad.

Have you tried the Red Stuff. Not as grabby as yellow and less brake dust. I had them on other cars and appreciated the better stopping power they offered but they were not on a set of performance calipers. For the street, I thought they were great.

The amount of dust the OEM PP pads produce is pretty significant but the rear pads are about half as bad in my opinion. My observation after not washing the rims for a few weeks: The fronts were literally brown and the back rims were starting to look like the front too. With the car on jacks this winter I will be changing all 4 sets.

Follow up on the Power Stop Z26 pads after a couple months driving.,,Great street pads! No noise, no dust, not grabby like stock PP1 pads, and best of all very reasonably priced... $75 from American Muscle.

What are the differences between the Z26 and the Z23 pads?

I believe the Z26 pads are on the performance end of street pads. The Z23 pads are more towards average street use.

Thanks. So they would likely be a little harder on the rotors if used on a daily driver but would otherwise provide better braking? Is there a stopping distance comparison between stock, Z23 and Z26 ?

Our PP brakes are so ample with stopping power already, I can't imagine that any pad would not be sufficient except maybe for hard use like at a track. I'll probably go get some semi metallic pads and call it a day. $300 for brake pads? That's crazy to me.

I don't want to use the original PP pads. They shed way too must dust for my liking. I want to replace them with something that will give me the same stopping performance without all the brown dust. A compromise is likely in order.

I doubt there is any difference in wear on the rotor...Rotors are so large, with a lot of surface area, along with very little braking effort needed to stop the car in street use, wear should be negligible. Pads have a very similar feel to the PP1 stock pads, without the grabby feeling under initial application. Pads also have a nice progressive feel when you really lean on them. I have no experience with the Z23 pads so I am not sure how they compare with the Z26 pads.
