While I wasn't able to take delivery of my GT350 and surprise my Dad before he passed away last fall, my step-mom still has his 1967 Candy Apple Red convertible with S-code 390. Weekend trip to give it a good clean, polish up the chrome, clean out the 8-tracks (!! :headbang:) and start considering how to pass the torch on the '67. Had to take some pics while we were at it and thought some of you might enjoy seeing the 390. Would have loved to do these shots with my Dad, but sometimes things don't go according to plan. Korean War veteran, always flew the flag on his house, and of course the antenna of the Mustang :D :ford:

Sorry about your dad. Nice photos. Both the 67 and your 350 are beautiful.

crazymayhem - Matte Black OTT from Big Worm Graphix - had factory gloss black/white OTT but really preferred the matte black / red look on the R. DIY job - have been building scale models since I was a pup, figured I could take on the vinyl with the right prep and solutions and other implements of destruction :). Wasn't too bad after a few deep breaths and peeling off the first piece (nice and slow and with heat). The Big Worm kit has a taper, I trimmed down to even factory widths before applying.

Nice. My dad has seen every one of my 18 mustangs along with the hellcat and others, I wish 2 things before he died last year suddenly. Him seeing my 350 and trump running. Your dad was a hero. Not many true blue guys like him left in the world. God bless and godspeed!

Always appreciate dad comments because we don't always appreciate our dads as much as we should. Aside, those two cars are beautiful in their own right but they look so different that other than name the lineage isn't apparent. That 350 from the front looks like a cobra though, eyes and fangs and all!

Beautiful cars.

Also - that is my favorite Magnetic Grey i've seen. Stripes are perfect.

A 65-68 convertible is still on my to-do bucket list....but getting harder to find in decent original condition (and not totally "Eleanored" or similarly souped up) and at a decent price...

Beautiful cars, and nice neighborhood! Good taste runs in your family. Appreciate your dad's service to our country and condolences to you and yours on his passing :usa:
