In the UAE the dealer will be getting around 80-90 vehicles for 2015. The first shipment arrives in March.

That's a huge number if it's only the US.

GM was offering a 20% MSRP discount on most carryover Camaros in December, too.

With any luck Ford will be overstocked and offering incentives when the '16s start hitting the lots. Probably won't be as big as the '14 deals but I hope they throw a bone, especially with interest rates.

Am open to corrections on this comment...but I think that sales are recorded by the Mfr. when the vehicle is sold to the dealer not when it goes over the curb to the end customer.

Correct, as far as the MFR's are concerned a vehicle that is delivered to a dealer is "sold". That's how GM was able to hide in the words that "the entire 2014 Z28 run has been sold".

Because no one here has used the same excuse.

From the spy photos I've seen it doesn't look like GM's taking any chances with the '16 Camaro styling. So Camaro fans don't have anything new to look forward to in the looks department.

Performance numbers vs. the competition only matter to a small segment so I don't know if the rumored power/weight and handling upgrades will even matter much to the average Wal Mart shopper.

No that is not correct. The sales reported are new car deliveries to the final customer and includes 2015's, 2014's and even any 2013's that are left over and sold.

It will be sold world wide, but iirc, it is only for sale in North America at this time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe you are correct - I haven't seen any reports of them being delivered to the international markets yet, as well as that they haven't even started making the RHD version yet. The RHD version could add another 20,000 - 40,000 cars to the annual figures in 2015 & 2016.

It appears that Ford is trying to satisfy the USA market demands before it starts shipping the car overseas. (lucky for you guys).

We have been told we have to wait another 12 months before we can start driving them down under but the demand all ready is very high with about 1200 deposits already taken by Ford dealerships. (this is a hell of a lot for a small market like OZ).
