Car got hit today while sitting at a red light

Thanks guys. Im dropping her off next Monday at the body shop. They said it would take around 3 weeks to fix. Ill post updates as I get them.

I would love to trade out of the car. As stated earlier It will never be the same to me. The car only has 8500 miles on it.

Man that sucks, I know how you feel when you say it will never be the same. I thought about trading mine when they final finish fixing mine. My wife asked me "why would you trade her, it's not the cars fault it got damaged." So I listened to my wife and just decided to make the body shop fix it perfect before I would except it.
Just make sure they fix it right!!

That might buff out, jk man. Sorry to hear, but when your dealt lemons, turn it into lemonade. Find a good body shop that will work with you and get some upgraded parts. Maybe get a nice wing while your at it.

Damnit! Hate seeing this man, but cars can be replaced/re-built. As WKT said just make sure they don't do a shabby job when fixing her back up.

Your wife makes a valid point. Did you get diminished value for your car?

I'd get a first-class shop to look at it. The Ford dealer is not a first class body shop.

It is, they're called 'supplements', the intial estimate is 7k, it'll be over 10k easy

Just choose the best body shop you can find and make sure it is perfect. When you lose her for 3-6 weeks, you will miss her and when she comes back to you will love her all over again.

I feel so bad seeing you guys getting your mustangs crashed into. I have an old Acura that I want to trade for a Mustang soon and if I could get just a decent hit, not enough to get hurt, the car would total out real easy. It's a 2005 Acura RL. Just the headlights are over a grand each. Would get at least $10K or at least 8K if it got totalled, only 4K in trade. I'm not looking for mishaps, could get hurt... But it wouldn't break my heart if someone stole it. Probably a hard car to steal though...

Her rear tires were bald, she was in a 2001 Crown Vic. The roads were wet. Its a big intersection. 8 lanes north and south, 6 lanes east to west. I was facing north she was facing west, she was turning to go south, I was waiting to turn west. Hope that makes sense. I may draw pic this afternoon. Its hard to explain how it happened.

This is why they stopped making RWD cars lol. Most people don't know how to handle them.

That seems a little steep of an estimate for that damage. Mine was hit in the same spot but the front was also wiped out with rail damage and it was around $16k. They will be $8-10k after supplemental damages :eyebulge:
