I’m currently running the Magnaflow resonator from CJ Pony you’re talking about. I have catless longtubes and a Roush axle back. It’s a more mellow tone compared to just an X pipe and cuts the volume down quite a bit but not so much that it’s quiet. I wasn’t sure how loud things would get so I wanted to start w the magnaflow resonator and go from there, depending on the volume. I’ve had it on for 1200 miles or so and it seems like it’s gotten a little louder but sounds great. About to go with a full 3 inch system so both the resonator and axle back will be for sale here in the next week or so.
Very interested in the axelback when it goes up for sale, shoot me a PM!

I had the GT350 Sport set-up from Ford Perfomance with the X-pipe and it was great until I added longtube headers without cats. After some unwanted attention from the local authorities...I swapped the X-pipe for the Borla resonator. It fit perfect and the sound is spot on without the raspiness. I will attempt to load some pics...

PLEASE add a video I haven’t been able to hear this setup yet and I’m about to do this. Catless headers with the resonator and borla sport catback. Please if you can upload a video lol.

In for this video as well! Really like my Sport system now, just a tad too quiet. Will eventually go headers, likely without cats, and either the Borla or the Magnaflow resonator. Hoping that the volume is just slightly louder than the cat-back on stock manifolds.

I have the Ford Sport cat back, it was a little loud on cold start so I bought the Borla resonator and replaced the X - pipe.

It was a little too quiet and muffled sounding for me, it sounds like it has a deeper tone but not much overall volume. Pretty muffled, a little bassy, sleeper ish.

You can rip the car without worrying about cops hearing you.

I switched back to the x pipe for the overall loudness and aggressive tone.

I’m thinking with Catless longtubes it should be perfect volume

This is what I'm hoping for. And between the two resonators, I understand the Magnaflow allows a touch more volume.

I wonder what the inside of the Magnaflow x pipe muffler looks on the inside?
It looks like a perforated wall X-pipe. Surrounded by packing.
