Since he drives on the street he might just want to have fun spinning the stock tires at will.
A proper cars and coffee car will need enough power to spin the tires in 1st and 2nd gear on any surface, such as dry concrete at 80F. How much hp / torque does it require to do that with 235, 275, or 305, summer / performance tires.

Take a pirelli tite on the gt and punch it youll spin first. The point isnt to spin the point is to grip and get your dig proper off the bat.

If you want spin any stock s550 can do that.

My car has 235 A/S , MT, 3.55. It spins sometimes depending on the road surface. Probably asphalt. But if i ran 235 summer tires and wanted tire spin on any road surface, such as dry concrete under the summer sun, it will need quite a bit more power. GT puts around 360 lb ft to the wheels. My guess is it needs at least 450 lb ft to do that.

Not everyone has the same goals. Hence Dodge selling the crap outta 707 hp cars with tiny rear tires.

That needed fat sticky tires from the start, but because at the end its business Dodge saved money by going with the 275 Pirelli tire.

I don't train legs. My legs get exercise via walking :headbonk:
Never skip leg day. Walking =/= to leg training. ;)

Solid advice that more people should follow. I think most people want HP #'s just to brag about though.
I've noticed there's some communication confusion when people say "track"; some mean a drag-strip, and some mean an actual road track.

At least I'm confused.:lol::lol:

For a car that won't see any track duty and probably mostly roll races.... I'd say blower...over suspension parts... I'd be more worried about the Trans, clutch, and halfshafts over putting power down.

I thought that if you were drag or stoplight racing you wouldn't want a torsen, because the gears dont hold up as well to shock as the standard clutch differential.

Are you waiting for the power train or bumper to bumper warranty to expire.

You can do the 2nd option now and keep all your warranty stuff intact. They're aren't going to deny a warranty claim if you changed your grille.
