I know a new set of heads would be expensive and I don't know how cost effective for the HP. Brandon at FLP is trying to get me to stay NA. He said new rods, some nice NA pistons for a 12.5:1 bump in compression, some headwork and maybe some nasty custom cams with lockouts and shoot for 580-600 whp.

The nice part about this is it would save about 3K for sleeves. He stated this would be good for mid to low 10's...... I said we need to hit 10's first!

This is something I am beginning to understand more and more. There is nothing better than running with some of the FI cars at the track. Seeing peoples faces when the try to just catch a peek at the track of what's under the hood, without being noticed. Or even better when they ask if your blown and you say "nope all motor" the look on their faces is priceless.

Exactly!! People being dumb founded a "little cube" 5.0 can run is worth the price of admission IMO.

10s NA will always be more impressive than a FI car running 10s!

Not everyone has the same appreciation for NA builds. Thats fine Id never knock someone going FI as yes they are cost effective and lots of proven options out there.

Im super jealous of your build and I envy the NA cars that are getting it done!

I would love to have a 500whp N/A build. Biggest benifit of N/A is you aren't constantly chasing gremlins like boost leaks, couplers blowing loose, etc. Plus a 500whp with a 100-shot is easy-peasy-lemon-squeeze. You will be making some massive power.

Yep. 75 shot on borrowed Hoosier quick time pros.

That was my only run cause I got kicked off the track :lol:

I figured around 550 engine hp with the shot.

N20 is the best for the NA crowd looking for some more gitty up
at the drag strip. Dial your way to 50-350hp for about a grand.
Can't go wrong.

AMAZING!!!! Just a month ago you was looking for a stealth recipe for 11's!! 8/30 you was talking about maybe going with a 100 shot, went conservative with a little 75 shot and BLASTED off 11.20's @125!?!?! Thats a heck of improvement from a couple of days prior running 12.2's@116 on the street track apps..... WOW:frusty:
