If keeping it na higher compression pistons will make a big difference on E-85.

Funny you should mention that...I talked to injected engineering on the phone yesterday and Arick said the exact same thing. We were talking about head work and didn't go into detail on the compression, he just highly recommended it with a full NA build. What like a 12:1? How much of a difference you think it would make as is? I would probably go ahead and have the heads ported and custom ground cams if I was going that deep.

I am interested as really thinking of switching my TT back to NA at least temporarily .

I am thinking of just dropping in the 5.2 alluminator XS ford rates at 580 hp and having some fun with as is while I sort out my sleeved 5.2 block .

My car already has all the supporting mods for 1500 hp.I would run the stock exhaust at first with it without cars but could upgrade to a kooks catted set up .It's an auto so it would be nice if it ran 10's and still have an engine warranty for a couple of years ...:.and not worry about cages or being booted out the track runnning 9's .

I know $15K is a lot of coin and I could probably built a "stronger" motor for less but there is nothing like that OEM smoothness/quality without the wait times for an engine build and potential mock ups .

It would be like getting an entirely new car.

I could always swap back the sleeved motor and turbos once I maxed out the set up (or want more power again)/take out the alluminator and sleeve it (or risk boosting it as is with OPG /CS upgrades)

I am closely watdbjnry SC Ruby's build since he was told his 5.2 set up (pretty much the 5.2 alluminator with OPG/CS and other valve train upgrades/ported/cammed GT head ) is good for 30 psi/1500 hp without sleeves.

Nice!! I've been looking at the 5.2 XS, that's a drop in setup that would be super sweet to have! It has billet OPG's from the factory too

Ford racing mad echanges the oil pump set up .

I know they were originally going to have the CJ set up with billet gears but they ended up the GT 350 pump/pan -No billet gears .

Well dang. The article I read must be outdated then. I would rather have the billet gears than the GT 350 pan
