Hey everybody. So I purchased the Ford racing 3.73 gears. They are expected to arrive next week. Anyone do this upgrade yet? Has anyone do this yet. If so how much difference do you feel

There are a few threads on the subject, but mainly just experience from guys in S197s. I don't think anyone on here has done it with a S550 V6 yet. Once you get them installed let us know how they feel, I'm curious to see what it would do to the 0-60 time.

Can't wait to see your results and 0-60 times before and after. I will get 3.73s if it shaves off 1 or 2 milliseconds.. Get me into the high 4's!

I will attempt to try on the 0-60 since I only played with it a couple times I only got mid 6's. I am curious what it will do starting with 3.31's in the rear. And I'll post the after. I'll will post pics of the switch

How do you have 3.31 already? I thought the manual V6 only came with 3.15 or 3.55.

Is there a performance pack for the v6 I didn't know about that comes with 3.31s? Also try doing your 0-60 in sport mode. I was getting high 5s now I'm tuned getting low 5s.

^^^^ This is correct. V6 only comes in 3.15 or 3.55 with auto or manual.

I want to put the 3.73 in as well. My car seems to be on the slower side. My best 0-60 is 8.0 sec. 3.15 gears automatic, advanced trac off, manual shifting, 91 octane. All stock.
This will probably be my first upgrade unless I do several options together. Gears along with shorty headers and a Roush axleback. I hold off on the tuner and CAI till Procharger is done with their supercharger.

Why do you manual shift the auto?

Why do you manual shift the auto?
Ive tried both ways but only timed myself with the paddles. I do agree that they lag and you have to time the shift early. Are you getting better times in automatic without using the paddles?
