MT82 cars I can see the argument of tuned 16 vs 18 but its a thin line...

The dyno #'s for an auto only show the power but ON THE TRACK the 10 speed will only add to the power difference. Look at the 11 second passes already. Auto 18 is much more car than 15-17.

Well for me auto means nothing because I'd never even consider one unless I was physically incapable of driving a stick.

Steeda have mentioned they’ve got 30whp from a CAI and tune, however, 20 was from the CAI and 10 from an additional tune. Not sure how much of that I believe (maybe 20 from tune and 10 from CAI - at best).

Either way, 30 whp onto of what we already get from an MY18 is nothing to bark at.
Guess we will need to wait and see what the real world results are. I highly doubt a CAI is going to give much gains in the 18 though. The stock intake is pretty efficient. Any real gains will come from the tune.

DI will allow you to run more timing down low. That is likely why the TQ is much smoother.

A Ford PP2, just like what Lund, VMP, AED, Livernois, etc. will get even more on top of the gains the '18 has over the 15-17.
No, Lund has already come out and said that there won't be much if anything at all to extract via tune, and attributed much of the 2018's gains to Ford getting the tune right from the factory this time.

Agreed. Early days though regarding getting the tune right.

Yeah, they also claim 22rwhp for their MY15-17 no-tune CAI which we all know is a crock.

Nice gains! I am sure all of the '18 MY owners will enjoy them, if my experience with my
'15 is any indication. :D

A few people have asked to see how the 18 graph compares to the 15 graph. This is Revolution Autos stock 2015 GT vs my 2018 GT on the same dyno. Both 6 speed manual performance pack cars.
That looks fantastic. Did the same shop ever run a stock GT350? I bet the two are closer than Ford is saying. The new Coyote is even starting to have that hollow sound of the Voodoo. ~GT350 Owner

Impressive stuff from that new 5.0. Going to be fun watching how what kind of numbers these things put down on the drag strip with more time.

Also, for those wanting a same day, same temp, old vs new dyno...there are still variables in that mix that throw numbers off. Namely, one massive one in particular...miles. An engine is going to make more power once it's broken in. Unless you can find a super low mileage 15-17, it's yet another variable that doesn't quite make it equal. Just my 0.02...

Here is your homework assignment bill@cjpp :) Now find 3 otherwise stock 15 Mustangs with performance pack 1, 2, and 3 installed and add those dyno sheets into the mix ;D

It would be interesting to see how they compare. If nothing else the performance pack 3 would be a nice comparison.
I created a thread requesting the same thing

After peering under the Engine Cover, as best I could at the Auto Show, the Intake, Intake Tube, Fuel Rail, Throttle Body and Intake Manifold, all appear to be similar to the non-Direct Injection Engines.

Looks like the 350 Power Pack Upgrades from Ford Performance will Fit and Work.

All you should need to do is replace the Oil Fill Extension Tube and have a pretty normal-looking High-Performance Engine, with a justifiable Hosepower and Torque Bump.
