Since Ford is notorious for not covering design flaws under warranty, the Engine Overrev Indicator policy is a deal breaker for me. If this engine crippling routine is actually true (and, it is in writing) for revs above 6250 for 8 seconds, then there is something wrong. I was REALLY looking forward to getting this Mustang!! If Randy Pobst drives one at the track for Motor Trend and hits this limit, it will be front page news; which will not be good news for Ford.I don't think I like the sound of it regardless. Was the only was Ford could build an engine like this was to limit rpm? I was considering a jump up to one, but this feature until better explained would be a deal breaker for me.
