To assist with the horrible wait, my son and I went and looked at some cars today. It was hot as all hell so we just went into some showrooms. Sat in Chrysler 200 (surprisingly nice), a $74K SRT8 Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300, Caddy ATS. We didn't get in but drooled over a new Viper...whoa. I don't know about reliability, but Chrysler has really stepped up to the plate with their designs, especially inside.

We then stopped by my Ford dealer to sit in a Mustang for direct comparison.

The Mustang interior was the nicest of the bunch! Well, the Caddy was mighty nice but the Mustang seats are far better. I am so impressed with the stock Mustang seats.

OK, back to wait mode.

On Thursday the 18th I did it. I went to Galpin Ford in LA and put $1000 down to order a 2016 Ecoboost Premium A/T. Here's my order list:


2016 EcoBoost Premium Automatic
- Exterior: Guard Interior: Dark Saddle
- 401A Package
- Performance Package
- Reverse Sensing System
- Adaptive Cruise package
- Voice-Activated Navigation

My guy there said orders get sent to Ford Every Wednesday, so I should have an order number by then.

You should have an order number on their confirmation. It will also show on the DORA when they receive it. Orders are picked up on Thursday nights by Ford FYI.
