2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang (50th Anniversary) Confirmed! Only 37 GT350R Mustangs

At the rate with current ADM I will probably be looking for a crate engine rather than ever dealing with a Ford dealer ever again. Sad but I don't feel like going through this again with greedy dealers.

I'm sure that they picked 37 GT350R because that's how many competition models they built in 1965.

Just kind of an observation but did anyone notice when the R was first debuted it had goldenish brake calipers. Now this might just be me over thinking it but the 50th anniversary is considered the golden anniversary. Maybe the calipers will be part of the package too. Just a thought.

I contacted my dealer about a '15...we'll see what he says. It these are designated MY'15, then will they be orderable before 5/11....when we are supposed to be able to start ordering '16's? I'm keep a little hope that there is a chance I can get one...a shred of hope. I can remember when everybody was saying that the 2014 Z/28's wouldn't see the light of day because they would all end up in the hands of collectors. You can still find brand new ones on dealer lots....2014's!

They overcharged for the Z28 even without markup. Good luck getting a 15' GT350. I know one Ford dealer very well, we do business weekley, and I've already spoke to him this morning. He points out an obvious thing I didn't think of...many dealers collect cars, and Ford dealers will hookup non Ford dealers who want one first, so don't plan on too many 2015s being available. He said less than 2 dozen won't be accounted for and that's more than just a good hint. He is hoping for one but he is low on the pole for Mustsng or SVT sales. So your going to have a few thousand guys and gals bidding over a few dozen cars. So ADM or not it won't matter since the cars will sell out quick, if not already.

No if you read it again it says 2 prototypes + the 34, and FORD wanted it to be clear this "TIME" and may 1 more making it 37

This? Shelby American built 37 of these purebred racing Mustangs to compete in SCCA B/Production events. This class was heavily dominated by the Chevrolet Corvette up until 1965. The 350GT R-Model won the national title three years in a row: 1965, 1966 and 1967. SFM4R100 was the tenth of the 37 factory race cars built.

There is heated debate among Shelby enthusiasts over how many 1965 GT350 competition models were built during the extremely limited production run. While Carroll Shelby insisted two prototype cars and 35 production models were built, most records show only 34 production models received serial numbers from the Shelby production facility.
For 2015, Ford will make sure there is no confusion about the number of GT350R models constructed; 37 cars will be built in Carroll Shelby’s memory.

The special edition cars will end up in collectors hands and also Dealership owners who will keep them for themselves.

High level Ford Employees and family members Dealer management and owners and friends will get these cars. If you see one available for sale to the public it will likely have and ADM if not snatch it up these will be highly.. Highly!!! collectible.

It's right at the top of the page in FMC Dealer, so I guess he didn't look too hard.

Says the allocation will be decided later, and that your regional rep will tell you how it plays out.

For a 2015 GT350? I assume you are talking about 2016's.
