Been having long start issues after my Paxton install and loading my Lund custom tune. I contacted Lund and he sent me a revised tune and I am still having issues. Seems to happen after the car has been sitting for longer than an hour after the car has been driven. I press the ignition button to pressurize the fuel system and then wait a second or two and then start it. All my current mods are listed below. Here is a link to a small video clip I recorded of it... Just seeing is anyone else is having an issue like this.

Yep. I have as well with the exact same length in start. Thought it was the JMS but I plugged around it and it still did it. I have not gotten back with John to report it though in all fairness to him.

This morning I pressed the start button about 3 times and heard the fuel pump pressurize the lines each time. After that last time she fired right up... So kind of odd

I have the Hellion kit, but experiencing the same thing. If mine does it I can mat the gas pedal and it will start faster. Not a fix but a work around until it gets fixed properly.

Yeah I do that sometimes too... Reminds me of my fully built 03 Lightning I had. Would do that and I would have to lightly put my foot on the gas when cranking it over

That usually means there is to much cranking "squirt" being added.
(typical with large larger injectors) So the motor is hard to start, because the fuel is liquid (not vapor)

After the 1st attempt the computer doesn't always add that "squirt" again, and the car basically cleans itself up, and fires off.

Pretty easy fix, just dial in the cranking pulse width, and problem solved.
Issue is that some injectors are so big, you can't dial them back enough.
Because they are already bottomed out, and then your hosed.

One of the reasons we can't include large injectors in our systems is for this reason.
We have to pass CARB emissions testing, and its hard enough with the sizes we deal with.
(down to the spray patterns effecting the first 5 seconds of start up)
Nearly no way to pass a CARB emissions test with massive injectors.
And failing tests that cost half the price of a car, is NOT fun.

I am sure they are well aware of what I am talking about.
They been in the game a long long time.

However, a 1000 is a massive injector on gas to try to "tame" down for cranking start.

They worked wonderfully on the GT500 and previous gen coyote on startup. It's just figuring out the new parameters on the S550. ID1000's are a dream to use at any power level.

I too have a starting issue with the ID1000's and Lund tune.

However, it's not a LONG start but a ROUGH start. It only occurs when the engine is hot, cold starts are fine. When it's hot, it starts up and idles rough for about 10 seconds before settling down.

Lund was telling me that the idle control strategy for our cars isn't completely available to him at this time with their software but was hoping to get a car in-house to iron it out eventually. I can live with it for now. It drives FANTASTIC otherwise.
