I switched out to the 802a package. I'm unscheduled clean right now. Still waiting on a build date. Dealer said to expect it not long after the new year. Looking forward to more space and more gadgets in the DD.

I own a 2014 Roush w/600HP and full exhaust, and plan on adding the GT350. I think the V8 Roush Raptor is one of the best sounding vehicles I've ever had, period, to include Mustangs, Cobras, Corvettes, BMW's, etc. One of the things I love about the GT350? The sound is amazing and has the chassis to back it up!

So, on to the 2017 Raptor.... Just an absolute crappy sounding truck from what I've heard so far. Most of the V8 purists on the Raptor forums are reluctant to go to a V6 truck with a crappy sounding motor. I for one plan on keeping my 2014 for a long time.

I have a 2017 on order. My current 2011 Raptor just turned 130k miles. I'm looking forward to the Gen 2 although I will miss the rumble of the 6.2.

Seriously considering pulling the trigger on one!

I've got a Wrangler Unlimited and I'd sell it to fund half of the new Raptor.

They had 'em in various colors at the State Fair of Texas - good looking truck. And they sound just fine (despite what haters are saying) in the videos I've seen!

I thought about it just to have one next to the '14 with low miles on it so I've got a last year of the previous run and a first of the new run but I just can't bring myself to do it... I'd never drive it because I wouldn't enjoy it and all the vehicles I have I got because I enjoy driving them. Still have first dibs on the first one to hit the lot here but I've already told them it will most likely be a pass. The pushed hard to get me to take an allocation when I ordered the 350.
Where at? I'm near you.

Walker we've bought all our Fords there over the years. Well except 1 Raptor we bought from another dealer used. I should be at Quaker this Sun if you're coming out.

That's a really good possibility!

The wife has been casually looking for a car - tried to talk her into a Raptor but she doesn't seem to be interested . I'm still working on her, as it would be a little silly for me to have 2x$$$ fun cars and her with an older car.

My wife used to DD a Raptor! It was impractical for her that's why we traded hers in.

If one doesn't care about the 4.10 front-axle, what do you guys see as the main draw for getting 802a versus 801a?

The 360 degree camera and remote start can be added individually, and I don't really have faith in the markup on the upgraded stereo system anyway... I don't see how the extra $6k is justifiable. A Raptor with an 801a doesn't seem any less practical than a loaded-up Lariat at that point, even factoring in that it would be a bit more expensive still without A/Z plan pricing.

Hmmm.... I've been considering getting rid of my tech for a Raptor DD and save the R for track days.... The Raptor would be handy for track, too!

Fwiw, I've got a great condition 14 with 60k miles on it.

It'll be on sale within a few weeks.
